Cozy and unique

We ordered some croissants and two roast beef sandwiches with brie and greens for takeout. Food was great - the wait was long (over 20 minutes). I would definitely return though.

Amazing Parisien atmosphere! Never experienced anything like it this close to home! I indulged in the molasses bacon and Brie French toast.... Nothing like it!!! Not to mentions, their croissants are amazing!!!

My wife and I attended this cafe for lunch. it was my second time here; the first visit for her. We had been planning to come to L'auberge for over seven months, and finally found the opportunity to spend some unhurried time to appreciate the tasteful delights so offered. We were not disappointed.

If you have ever been to Paris, Montreal or Quebec City you will understand by absolute delight in finding this beautiful treasure along the mess of construction on front street in Belleville. The aroma, the shelves filial led with exotic and beautiful oils, vinegars and salts from aroundd the world, mixed with nic knacks, posters and music typically French. But... More

If you would like to take a break in a French cafe, look no further than L'Auberge de France in downtown Belleville. From the minute you step inside, you get a distinct feeling that you are in France. The display case, alone, is a joy to behold. There is a truly magnificent array of sweet treats beautifully presented and looking... More

Nice lunch spot in downtown Belleville. Always an interesting selection of sandwiches and salads and no place in town touches their desserts. L'Auberge is also the only place in town (that I am aware of) that sells Balzac's coffee. Overall a great spot and good value.

It was a different experience. The menu is on the blackboards and the choices are all in behind glass so you can see what you are ordering. Beautiful presentations! The only drawback was only one man working and so service slow. I had quiche and it was delicious but had to have it re- heated.

Not our first time at the L'Auberge de France nor will it be our last. In the downtown of Belleville resides a small piece of France....! The food is so fresh, full of flavour, coffee is robust and the atmosphere oh so french. A must to visit though be prepared to wait but not long..I'm looking forward to my next... More

Jean Marc runs a Chefs Table each month, a french meal at a table and you dont know who is going to be sitting next to you. It is a four course affair with great wine and discussion. Beautiful night

Worth a visit. Lunch is traditional French croquet-Monsieur with some Canadian concessions like Montreal smoked meat and smoked Atlantic salmon. Soups are hearty and good particularly on a cold Belleville winter afternoon. French pastries are to die for. Great lattes and coffees. The take out gourmet menu is worth exploring. The tourtière is delicious and the clam chowder is superb.... More
