Located on Mulcaster. Great homemade pizzas. Friendly staff treat you like family. Fresh bread served at table while waiting. Chicken cacciatore is a large serving and quite good. The marsala sauce was too sweet to my liking. Prefer the dry marsala ice, but they don't offer that. If you come with your children they are given special attention. They also... More

If you don't mind spending a little more on your pizza for something that tastes great then this is the place for you. The lasagna here is great too. One of my fave places for pizza in Barrie

Ordered pizza from here. $60 after tip for 2 medium pizzas! Hardly any toppings and a pound of cheese.I love cheese as much as anyone, but putting a block of cheese on some dough, melting it and calling it authentic Italian food is misleading. I was looking forward to a hot pizza loaded with fresh toppings. Won't be ordering again,... More

We come through Barrie fairly often, and have enjoyed the meals here many times. The helpings are generous of typical Italian comfort food. I'd single out the panzarotti and cannelloni.

It's an italian restaurant but they managed to over cook the pasta! My husband rated his dish 2 out of 10 and he's not difficult to please when it comes to food. The decor inside is very tired and the place feels grubby. Service is friendly but not amazing because there is only one person and they seem to do... More

I'm not a fan of chain pizzerias. They all are the same, they virtually weigh out every ingredient, and its impossible to get an old fashioned "loaded" pizza. Well Pizzeria Italia is an old fashioned family owned pizzeria. There pizza is loaded with whatever toppings you ask for, as well as ample cheese to cover everything. The pizzas are a... More

Had the veal parmesan and meatball sandwich takeout. Had a lasagna and penne carbonara with the wife in the dining room. Caesar salad was good we shared. All fantastic. Love that fresh bread and sauce. Will always be back.

This Barrie restaurant was our regular "after closing" spot 40 years ago when we lived over the old hardware store on nearby Dunlop Street. Since then, Barrie has doubled in size, and lost some of the old small town "soul" that we enjoyed at the time. That said, the Pizzaria Italia, has remained remarkably unchanged. The decor appears exactly the... More
