Fabulous Food! A Barrie Must!

If you're looking for a delicious place to eat with the comfortable environment this is the place to go. For my appetizer I ordered beef carpaccio, for my entree I tried duck confit, and for dessert I had blueberry compote cheesecake. The shaved white cheddar with the mango chutney was a fab... read more

I had wanted to try this restaurant for some time now. It is Barrielicious so I went. I had great service but did not enjoy my meal. Many of the items on the menu require an additional cost over the set $25 menu. One small scallop for an additional $6 is a little outrageous. The last time I paid this... More

We have been there a couple of times. I am limited on the places I can eat at and not many restaurants cater to people with special diets. This restaurant have enough items on their menu that I don't need to worry about going hungry. Dinning out is a real treat so always enjoy when I find something on the... More

Never been here before so we thought we would try it for barrielious, we went with two other couples. Waitress was not very friendly, I found a hair in my food and couldn't finish it and to top things off we had to yell to talk to people at our table as music was so loud.

Having heard great things about Painters Hall, my wife and I decided to eat their this week. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice as well. We had the Thai curry mussels to start, really enjoyed them. My wife had the salmon, no complaints. I had the famed brazed short rib. The beets and risotto that came with it... More

Very pleased with our night out. Party of 5 and everyone raved about their meals. Our server Jose was gracious and very pleasant. There is something about this place that I just can't put my finger on! It's unpretentious but has every right to be. This place is everything a bistro should be. I loved you're rebuttal to a previous... More

My first time at the Hall. Two of us arrived and were seated at the very back of the restaurant. There were several stacked cardboard boxes and upside down empty wine bottles, along with dirty napkins on floor by waiter's station which were all in plain sight throughout the entire evening. Not a very good first impression of such a... More

Group of 12 went here to celebrate my Mom's birthday. I've heard many good things about the place. They actually catered an event at my parents house the year before so we knew their standards. It's a nice cozy place, very loud in the lounge area, but people were enjoying themselves. Food was pretty good, although I have to say... More

My husband and I went to Painters Hall for the first time on Dec 23/15. We were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the candles and quiet music was very nice. We had the short rib which was as soft as butter, it was served with the best tasting veggies I've ever had. Our server was Jose', he made our experience... More
