If you like lobster rolls and are on the way to P.E.I. via the Caribou ferry, then you need to stop at this place. May sure though you go hungry as the lobster rolls could feed two people. Cold beer, pleasant atmosphere and polite service and an outdoor patio makes this place a fun place to grab some lunch.

This business sitting on the Pictou waterfront facing the harbour is described only with one word multi-dimensional. It started as a coffee house and has since turned into a place where everyone is welcome and when they get there they will look at, great Pub food, a lobster sandwich next to none other, wings, chicken strips, fries, sandwiches, soups, all... My wife & I just returned from having a lobster roll with potato chips (not french fries) each, 1 pint of beer each & 1 side order of onion rings (7 - 8 rings). The lobster rolls were very tasty but were served on a white bread hoagie bun. Total cost: $49.99!!! To summarize, very tasty lobster filling & very... More

Totally not what I expected. Beautiful patio outside. Small and very interesting Scottish Pub. Loved the dartboard on the ceiling, there is so much to look at and talk about. No menu, order your food at the bar and it is brought to you. Not a lot of choices, simple, but boy was the food good. I ordered the lobster... More

Having previously lived in a developing world country, I would say my expectations are already pretty low. However the customer service was shocking poor. The waitress was rude. I was very surprised to find such attitude on the Main Street of a tourism area in Pictou. Nova Scotia has always been known to be a province full of polite and... More

Lunchtime, warm day so sat outside. Order food at bar, then it is brought out to you. Help yourself to coffee. Coffee good quality and hot. Lobster roll delicious, lots of lobster meat. Beef sandwich likewise. Shame the lawn cutter was using a strimmer for half of our eating time as it was noisy and spoiled the feel somewhat, but... More

Food was good, but more expensive and touristic than Sharon's Place - just one block away. Lobster roll was really good.

My husband and I went here the evening we arrived in Pictou just to sit and relax and have a drink. It was a Friday night with live music and the small place was packed! We still managed to grab a seat and enjoyed our shared brownie. I can't comment on the rest of their food selection, but the brownie... More

Quaint and comfy place with lots of character. Order at counter and then they bring food to your table. Had their lobster roll, smoked meat sandwich, chowder and their grilled cheese sandwich. A little pricey but still delicious.

Pictou, home to Scottish immigrants, provides a picturesque setting, a quaint small town feel, and Carver's Coffee House Studio and Pub. The lobster roll was abslutely the best we encountered in our tour of the entire Cabot Trail and Cape Breton. (One drawback was the 25 knot wind blowing some peculiar odors across the water from an adjacent paper mill....this... More
