Good Italian food....

We came here for a bit of a family "do" with a party of 10 but even so the staff looked after us well. The place was busy as it was a Friday night, and that led to the one negative - the place got very loud by the end of our dinner. That said - the meal was excellent... read more

My all time favourite go to restaurant for lunch, dinner or any time! Great atmosphere with a touch of Italy, close tables with charming decor, casual ambiance with fabulous aromas! The food is never disappointing with fabulous pasta, s & pizzas and my fav is the chicken stuffed with ricotta served with roast potatoes & fresh veggies! Also love the... More

Height of Summer in Halifax- no reservations- but a 15 minute wait later and we were in. Excellent pastas and pizzas. Leave room for gelatos- my favourite was a sundae affair with sour cherries. We came back again a few nights later. The ambiance is great and the cuisine very northern italian. In fact, I noticed that the owner collects... More

My husband and I enjoyed 3 shared courses. The Crostini with grilled pear and cheese appetizer was to die for. Second course, the pumpkin ravioli was really tasty and to finish off, the warm crepe with Nutella and home made vanilla ice cream was the grand finale! We selected a Californian red wine called The Crusher (Petite Sirah) which was... More

Great food, value, service, atmosphere. The staff and owners really care about your experience. Perfect for business or pleasure but a relaxed Italian atmosphere. Gourmet pizza and pasta are outstanding.Always a favourite place to go. Quaint waterfront location with parking outside door is wonderful.

I left Halifax as a kid in 1980 and had eaten at "Bertouzzi Restaurant" before leaving and their food was always delicious. Then during the 1990s, some of the Bertouzzi family landed in Calgary and they were an instant hit (winning top Italian Restaurant several times) and I ate there many many times (but they are all based here in... We ate on a Saturday night and the restaurant was full of mainly couples. Two tables next to us were filled with loud and very drunk couples. Another table had three older women who thought they had the right to turn off the main lighting in the restaurant. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at our... More

I went to this restaurant in a group of about 8 girls for a friends birthday dinner, the waitress I had was quite rude to me. When I asked for another minute with the menu as I hadn't decided on what I wanted yet and I was the second person she came to, she said with a lot of attitude... More

I was introduced to a Mano as a Christmas lunch with work colleagues. The restaurant was very busy, and therefore very loud. I had the lasagna, which was very good, but I thought a little overpriced at $16, as it was not a large portion and was not served with anything - no salad, no garlic bread. For dessert I... More
