A Fun and Fast Feast

I've visited twice in the past month. Both times, I've been pleased with the service, the ambiance, and the meal. The food, while not in the gourmet category, has been satisfying. They also understand and offer gluten free options. Our last visit was for Saturday brunch and the place was... read more

We often eat at this pub when in Halifax. It is popular, and can be crowded and noisy at times, so if you're looking for a quiet meal, this wouldn't be for you. I like their food, the atmosphere, and when the weather is good, they have a lovely outdoor patio on the roof overlooking Spring Garden Road.

We did not enjoy this place. It was loud, the waitress was rude, and the food was not very good at all. The waitress was not overly nice when she told us we would be up charged for mayo, ketchup or extra drinks. A few nicer places to dine in Halifax

Why this place remains popular is beyond me, probably just because it's situated overlooking the busiest street in Halifax. The service is usually ok, but the food needs improvement and most things on the menu are quite uninspired and bland. Stop in for a drink if you must, but there are much better places in Halifax.

this is a crowded restaurant and you might wait a few minutes for the seat but its worthy and don't forget to test its chicken wings.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food portions were huge, and we had a couple of the beers they make on site. A blues band was just getting tuned up to play when we left. I can see us returning here!

I've had better, the food was pretty good we had sweet potato fries and spinach and artichoke dip. Both were gluten free, I had my suspicions about the sweet potato fries, however I had no problems. Yet my allergy is not as sensitive as others so if you do have coeliacs please check! The starters were very good although I... More

We ate here twice. Lunch one afternoon and brunch another day. Good service and they had a great blues band on the Saturday afternoon we had lunch. Lively bar atmosphere here. And we enjoyed the food.

Three of Us went there Nov 15. It's a fun spot, great service, Our server was awesome. The food however was only alright. The fries were barely warm, the Chicken sandwich we tried, had a mayo with perhaps a lot of cumin in it, it smelled like armpit sweat. We also had nachos, they were okay, not the best. Another... Nice mid sized bar with tvs tuned to sports. The food is great and the prices are fair. Live music on weekends and the place can be busy at times. Staff are attentive and familiar with their food and beverage options.
