A very nice pub. Great food--the Shepherds Pie was excellent and so was the salad. The burger was good as well. Service was good and friendly as well even though it was busy. A bit on the noisy side but much quieter if you ask for the last / back room, there are even a few cubicles where one can... More

A couple of blocks up from the Harbor Walk. This was a nice pub friendly service with a good range of beers and an excellent duo singing and strumming. All on a quiet night. Good for a visit. But why eat?

This pub had some good food choices and also had a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately we had to leave just as the band was starting. They sounded like they'd be very good.

One of the few restaurants open later (9 pm on a Monday) and still running at full speed, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the main plates that we ordered. I ordered the smoked salmon platter which was abundant and delicious. My wife chose the lamb burger dish. The burger was slightly over-cooked but very tasty.... More

We tried the Old Triangle Irish Ale House on a cool, gray, windy day in October. The chowder seemed just the thing for that type of day, and it was most satisfying. The flavor and consistency were very good, and the Irish soda bread served with the chowder was a good complement. The atmosphere at lunch time was relaxed and... More

Went for the music, but it was too noisy to hear it. Food was just OK. The architecture and bar are very interesting but not enough to go again. Too crowded. Surprising, the service was very good.

We stopped for lunch while visiting Halifax. The ambiance is cozy pub which we loved. We were promptly seated at a window table. I ordered my favorite of all favorites... fish & chips. To be exact, the menu item is Killey Begs Style Fish: Fresh haddock, beer battered and served with slaw, tartar and lemon... and french fries and I... More

Went in the other night - a group of eight to ten people. We found a place to sit - the waiter was brilliant - learned everyones name - the food was of excellent quality and before we were done our meal live music filled the space. We sat back for a couple hours just enjoying the evening. A great... More

Great food here and the atmosphere is wonderful. Busy and noisy, the service held up and the food was very tasty and hot. Lamb shank is great, try it. Great selection of beers and you can tell a lot of locals are eating here.

We visited the Old Triangle at the beginning and end of our ten day Nova Scotia trip. The first night was a Saturday so there was live music and it was quite crowded. We found a table in the bar area where the bubbly waitress offered drink and meal suggestions. Lamb shank was flavorful with steamy hot mashed potatoes and... More
