This Ale House always seemed to be bussling, but the waiters had it all under control. Great beer and hearty food selection!

Nice restaurant within walking distance of the downtown harbor hotels. The night we were there they had a band playing and there was lots of crowd noise but they also had outdoor seating and that's what we opted for. The server was very friendly to our two boys and nice overall. Good beer choices here. If you're into craft beer... More

You know you're in trouble when the waitress questions the quantity of your order. I went with one friend and we ordered two main dishes and one appetizer as well as a beer each, but the portions are generous to say the least. The food was above and beyond I would expect for any Irish pub, but in particular what... More

Was great to sit outside on a lovely summer's night. Loved the mussels and lobster starter. Good atmosphere all round.

We went there twice. On our arrival we went in for a quick beer around 10:30 on a Friday. The place was jumping, rather loud and the kitchen was closed. Looked like a good mix of locals and tourists. We returned on Mon for early dinner. Our waiter, John, was excellent! Reads sign language from across the room (More Beer)... More

The recommendation was right, what a place!!! We loved it!! We sat in the front but from what I was able to see there is a section in the back as well. We were fortunate to find a table in the front as the live music was there. They were great! They food was amazing as was the beer. We... More

Ate lunch here with 3 colleagues, and all of us were impressed with the food. I highly recommend the lamb burger - one of the best I've had.

Very popular place, so seating was fought o come by. There is no host/hostess and is seat yourself. No reservations. There are several tables outside, with seasonal heaters and there is live music on weekends. Minors are NOT permitted after 10 pm. The staff is very friendly and the food really quite delicious. Would recommend.

We arrived around 9:00 on a busy Saturday night and sat outside as there was no empty tables inside, and it was quite pleasant and we could still hear the music (great, great music!!!) Was like being in Ireland with the great ale and fish. Great menu and food was very pleasing, with good portions and decent prices. Server was... More

We spent most of our evening in Halifax here. It's obviously very popular because we had to wait a while for a table but it was easy enough to get drinks while we stood and watched the band. There was a great selection of beers and spirits on offer and the prices were very reasonable. There was an Irish duo... More
