Having been disjointed in another place which only had rather insipid beer, we spent some time of a warm evening at the Old Triangle. I had two points of tasty IPA. The pub food was fine. We were served by Lou-Ann who was just lovely. Well done.

A week after moving to Halifax from Toronto, I found myself on a first date at the Old Triangle. Love at first sight - both with my date and the Triangle. 9 years later, we are married and still love going to the Triangle for an evening of East Coast Hospitality. Its a busy venue at peak times, tables are... More

My husband and I visited the Old Triangle twice while in Halifax. We set only the 1 time and only an appetizer, but it was decent. Not anything to blow your mind but good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the music so came back the next evening after dinner for a couple drinks. It's a relaxing, laid back vibe and... More

Very popular local pub with an extensive pub menu, friendly staff, and a decent -- not great, decent -- selection of taps. Adding more local brews on tap would have pushed this up to an Excellent.

There are a lot of poseurs restaurants in Halifax, this is not one of them. Just an excellent and wide menu of excellent food beautifully cooked using good ingredients and served in an excellent atmosphere. Probably the most enjoyable of 7 restaurants we tried in Halifax.

Good food. Great atmosphere. Good waitstaff. It was fun from the moment we walked in the door. A place for everyone from children to young singles to grandparents.

We discovered this pub because the Radisson hotel is just around the corner, Staff is very friendly and many typical international and local plates are served, I have had the occasion to eat the Lamb shank and the battered haddock; both were well prepared! If you are looking for an excellent and relaxing pub and for good food, then this... More

The local band was great, service was impeccable and choices of beer were perfect. I would highly recommend this place for drinks (I don't mention food because we didn't eat here).
