Love it!

My husband and I are visiting from away. This was the first restaurant we checked out in Halifax. We stopped in for lunch and a pint. We both had the cheeseburger and fries. It was delicious! We both ate every morsel on our plate. I had been eyeballing the dessert menu, but was just too stuffed to... read more

This is a great place to grab a cold one or a good meal. Many traditional Irish offerings. Pub is divided into three areas. One where music is offered, another away from the music and several snugs for privacy. Oh...and a patio for summer months. One of the more popular pubs in Halifax.

This is a wonderful place to bring out of town guests. It is a cozy pub with lots of atmosphere. We enjoyed fish bites with our beers recently. Perfect snack when you need a little something to eat. This was my second time here - I loved it then and I still love it. Really must stop in more often!

Great location downtown! Very bland for "an Irish Ale House". Not a lot of atmosphere. Service is very good and quick and staff seem to enjoy their work. Food is excellent and decent variety to menu.

The harbourfront boardwalk in Halifax is spectacular, with lots to see and places to eat, but step a block up the hill and into this great pub, in one of Halifax's historic buildings and you won't be disappointed. We like the two upper levels best for their ambiance. Great pub grub and friendly staff. Very good, inexpensive luncheon menu. I... More

I just found the last time I ate there the menu was kind of limited for what I was looking for. If the only thing I find interesting on a pub's menu is the fish and chips, I think they are either trying too hard to impress fancier patrons. Your mileage may vary but for my limited pallet, I can... More

While I've been for drinks before but never ordered, I was impressed when we went there for dinner. Service was fantastic and the food was served promptly. Our starter and meals were delicious. Neither of us were able to finish our meal, probably should have thought twice about ordering a starter but it was all so delicious that we have... More

We just dropped in for a few drinks on New Year's eve before we went out for dinner. The place was very busy but we are able to find a nice little table for two and the service was excellent. The waiter was fast and friendly and asked us if we wanted our drinks refilled without us having to get... More

So disappointed. Went in to have a drink on our way back to the hotel and we were REFUSED TO BE SERVED. I think it was because they were done having customers for the night....So disappointing. Such bad experience to have for a night out with friends to celebrate a birthday, to come from out of town and get turned... More
