Had two great meals here. Managed to eat all three courses but was very full! I am a non fish eater but there was plenty of meat choices. We stayed a week at the hotel, just a pity the menu didn't change in the time as we might have ate here more.

We celebrated our Dalhousie School of Nursing 40th Reunion at this beautiful cozy restaurant. The staff and cook went out of their way to make our reunion memorable. We enjoyed a special menu that was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had! I would highly recommend this fabulous restaurant for a special occasion. Lots of great stories... More

This is our go to place when we are celebrating i.e. anniversary. Its pricey but worth every wonderful mouthful. They offer many different meats, poultry i.e. elk, bison, guinea hen etc. Desserts are delicious. Service is impeccable. Small dining room with great ambiance. The last couple of years they have offered a price fixed menu in February (?) consisting of... More

We ate here our first evening in Halifax when rather jet lagged and it was an excellent beginning to what became a succession of generally wonderful dinners throughout the Maritimes. It was the most expensive meal we had,but well worth it

Loved the wine and the delicious meal. Great not to travel far for a superb dinner. The staff were attentive and accommodating.

If you're a light sleeper, insist on getting a room upstairs. I was on ground floor next to the front door and got woken up several times over my 5 nights stay due to the front door slamming right next to my headboard. Other than that, nice quaint clean place. Fantastic breakfast! Nice helpful staff. I felt like I had... More

Upon my arrival the first evening it was bitterly cold outside so decided to try this restaurant located on the same site as the Halliburton House Inn. The interior of the small dining room, with two rooms allowed me to step back into history. Fortunately, the food was not historic. The menu was small, yet varied, with delicately blended tastes.... This little Inn has the potential to be so much more than it is. The rooms are nice but the layout of the bathroom is so frustrating that it makes it impossible to get ready in the morning. I think the rooms are getting tired and need to be redecorated to keep it fresh.

Nice employees, pretty entrance, very old different type of house...we were located on the 3rd floor, it seemed clean although they forgot to clean the mini bar - when we went to put some bottled water in to cool off we found a bunch of uneaten food etc so the maid immediately came and carried it and a bunch of...
