Mixed results. The beer selection was good. The smoked meat dishes were excellent - the fries tasted "re-heated" in old grease. The Big Boy Club was very ample and tasty. The baked potato was fully loaded - had to be good, right?

I have been a customer at the Lions Head since it opened back in the late sixties. Being British going to a local pub was always a tradition and I was initially impressed by the owners efforts to make this "our local". My husband and I used to enjoy going there for a casual meal and a cold beer. Later... More

I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food, great place to gather but the wings need to be scraped and replaced with something real. Factory battered and with the same meat one might find on a pigeon, stay away until they find a new supplier. Think they run on the wing nite promo but forget we want the real thing... More

We went here before a concert at the Forum and it was quite an experience. There were patrons who had clearly over indulged and were being loud and vulgar on the deck so we moved inside to eat. The menu consisted of pretty basic bar food in our opinion. The nachos were terrible but our companions had smoked meat sandwiches... More

We went to the Lions Head prior to a concert at the Forum. For me it was first time and felt it was a good experience. We sat outside and received very good service. The food we ate was average (smoked meat sandwich, wings, fried pepperoni, and fish & chips). Like other comments - it was not exceptional or poor.... More

Many visits over the years. It's a convenient place for lunch. Good pub food, no better or worse than any other pub, and nothing to make it stand apart (good or bad) from the crowd.

I ate here with colleagues for a late lunch, after the rush. Atmosphere is typical for your neighbourhood pub; well used seating, mix of booths and tables, TVs in corners of the venue. My drink arrived with someone else's lip stick marked caked on, so we politely asked for a new glass. The fish and chips were good and the... More

Good place to drop in or to meet some friends for a drink...this place has been here for years. I've read good reviews and bad, but I've always found the service and food pretty good. We stopped in yesterday for a couple of beers and munchies (and a shot of Winter Olympics action). Place was fairly quiet. We had the... More

I read the reviews before coming here and was expecting the worst and that was not the case. The food was actually good. I had the People's Poutine w/ bacon bits and chives added! The server was nice and friendly and was attentive. Free refills on pop + free WIFI! Check this place out for sure!

This "tavern" is dirty, the service is super poor and the food is horrendous. Unfortunately, I've been to the Lion's Head about 5 times in 15 years and every single time I regret going. I want to like it, but the horrible atmosphere and service always trumps any visit I've had.
