Best lobster ever! Almost there on their scallop appetizer, but a bit too much spices killed the flavor of great quality ingredients.

Very small portions!!!!!!!!!! Eat before you go and bring your microscope. Beautiful atmosphere. Great service, nice presentation but VERY little to enjoy. A lot of hype.

I recently hosted a group dinner at The Five Fisherman and truly enjoyed the overall experience. The restaurant itself has a truly unique history and story behind it which contributed to the overall experience. The staff was truly friendly, genuine and committed to providing our group with great service. The food was served in a timely manner and was tasty.... More

This was fantastic, as my wife and I put away a couple dozen of these bad boys(mainly my wife) I was holding out for the lobster, which was great, service was outstanding, we had such a great time there.

We stopped by at around 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. We wanted a some oysters and a drink. On the patio, only two tables were occupied by two couples. We asked to sit on the patio, which would have meant some table reconfiguration as we were a party of 6. They asked us to come inside and wait in... More

The Five Fishermen Restaurant was one of my favorite places to dine while visiting Halifax. It has great seafood, great chowder. I loved the ambiance and found it to be a true East coast experience. The service was a bit slow but worth the wait. We were with a group of 12. Everyone enjoyed their selection. However one of our... More

I felt I had to update my previous review of this restaurant. My spouse and I always loved this seafood restaurant to the point of even buying gift cards for family members in the past. As it was our favourite restaurant we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. We had no idea that the mussel and salad bar were gone... More

We were a group of people visiting Halifax on a business trip. We did not have reservations, so we were pleased to be able to get tables for our small group of six. The servers could have been better in explaining the menu specials and making conversation. We seemed to have a few servers and they appeared disorganized. We finally... More

This is a must visit restaurant for seafood lovers. The ambience is historic and comfortable. The service truly excellent and most of all the food is superb. We were quite a large party, but everyone agreed, this was the place to eat!

I made reservations here after it being recommended by a few people during our stay in Halifax. We were greeted by the friendly general manager and escorted to our table upstairs. I started with the lobster bisque and it was the BEST bisque I have ever had. I would of ordered another serving if I could. My husband had the... More
