We arrived the hostess was very gracious and helpful. However,I must let you know of our disappointment as after reading reviews and researching we expected very high class service. Our waiter was very attentive and made us feel welcome in general. Following are some issues which effected our overall rating. The Muscles were cold, Salad bar was lacking...when we asked... more

We went to this restaurant on our first night arriving Halifax. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were SO happy we decided to go to this place. The value was incredible for what they were serving. Your meal starts with a huge hot buffet ( the server serves you) of wonderful mussels, and an assortment of sauces. The... more

Nice haunted restaurant although we didn't get to see any aberrations. The food and service were very good and our server was very personable and great with our kids. The salad/mussel bar was top notch. If there was anything to complain about or mention would be the beets that landed on my plate of halibut...yuck...I hate 'em...oh ya...and no chocolate... more

Excellent food, especially the seafood. The mussel/salad bar was exceptional. Service was good, as was the beer and wine selection. Go if you can. more

The second floor restaurant was very upscale and classy. The food was very good and the service was attentative. The salad and mussel bar was a nice touch and was included in the price of the meal. This restaurant would survive in NYC in terms of quality meals, service and high prices. For example, a 2 lb lobster was $50... more

The dining room is a former church and school and features high ceilings and stained glass windows, but with all the dark wood and booths, it manages to feel cozy at the same time. Service and food were wonderful. The good wine list included a number of Nova Scotian wines. The starter course, included with every entree, is an imaginative... more

Went here based on reviews from TA and a recommendation from our Harbour Hopper tour guide. I found it over priced for the food we got. Ordered a 1.5 lb lobster for $49! other places advertised lobster (1 lb probably) for $19.99. The sides were average and the all-you-can-eat mussel bar was nothing special. I thought it was a big... more

The mussel bar and salad bar were amazing. The set menu was an excellent value. My friend had the curried seafood pot which was exceptional and my halibut with beets, arugula and goat cheese was exceptional. The meal ended with the most delicious caramel sauce on cheese cake I had ever tasted. As my friend said, there was no jar... more

We had not researched TA as we had not expected to eat in Halifax but a change of plan made us have a look around during the late afternoon and this seemed the most promising place. We did not reserve but got in anyway and enjoyed a very good lobster each with a complimentary mussels and salads buffet to start.... more
