Ate here twice both times outside overlooking waterfront. Such a busy place & really need to book. But we didn't & so efficient at getting people to tables.

Well good thing the decor is gorgeous and it's bustling w people, because the bread had zero taste, like weird no taste and the spread for it, not good. And listen, I am not fussy, I will eat pretty much anything. Be careful!!! Of the up sell on wine! "Which Malbec did you want? This one is excellent". $22 for... More

We stopped by The Bicycle Thief for a late lunch. The menu had a large variety of options. I ended up ordering the Lobster Roll with fries and my husband ordered the BT tenderloin burger with fries. His burger came out and it had to be 6 inches high with aged cheddar, caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato. He thought it... More

This is one of the top spots to eat in Halifax, hands down. With their prime location right on the Halifax waterfront, eating outside on a sunny summer day is top notch. Their food is second to none and they are always changing their menu to offer new dishes. My wife took me here for my birthday and I ordered... More

Dinner on a Tuesday night. Place was packed even at 8:30 PM. Food was very good, but serving size borderline.

We had dinner at the Bicycle Thief early in August. I emailed them the day of to make reservations and they were able to accommodate us on a Tuesday evening. The place was pretty busy when we arrived and was very loud. Service was very slow. The food was mediocre. We started with steamed mussels and it arrived with more... More

Great spot for lunch. The lasagna was amazing so was the calamari with aoli, and the hand crafted cocktails...do not miss!

I made a reservation a month in advance of coming to Halifax and for a good reason. When I tried to increase our numbers they were booked solid until late in the evening. This is not a small restaurant but clearly is a go-to spot in Halifax. It is well located on the waterfront, and the food is tasty. The... More

We visited Halifax in August and everyone recommended the BT for us. It was extremely hard to get a table there as it was always full - which we took as a good sign. The staff was really great and professional. The food was simply amazing: we had scallops as a starter and spaghettini alle vongole as a main. All... More
