We had lunch on the patio overlooking the harbour and it was great. The food was very tasty and the service was quick and friendly. We arrived at about 11:30 and, by the time we finished the meal, the place was pretty busy so I suggest getting there early for a good seat.

Ate Lunch here during Labour Day weekend. Restaurant was busy but had no problem getting a table with a view of the water. The mussels were fantastic. So too was the calamari. Fish and chips were fresh, very lightly battered and delicious. Already recommended this restaurant to others.

Arriving in Halifax late we didn't want a big meal so walked down the Boardwalk and came across the Bicycle Thief. The restaurant was very busy - a good sign - and the menu displayed a good number of appetizers - something we wanted. We sat outside on the the lovely patio with a view of the harbour. The staff... Delicious food and a beautiful setting on the waterfront in Halifax. Good lively atmosphere, and very popular. But, don't go here if you want to talk with the other people at your table. . . Too noisy.

We visited the bicycle thief with a parent of 8. It didn't take long for things to go down hill. Our waitress was way too busy and had no time for a questions. She was very short with all of our table. The place was packed, seems to be a 20s crowd. The food was good, but for what we... More

six of us ate on a Friday night, its a good atmosphere, food is tasty but portions small. price is fair, location is great and wine list is good. I recommend the vongole and scallops.

Sat on the waterfront patio on a beautiful sunny day! Had a nice cold draft and a 1/2 bottle of wine with my wife. The lobster roll, while flavourfull, had a little too much celery mixed in, almost to overcompensate for the wetness of the mixture. Lots of variety on the menu, would definitely return again for another try!

The most tasty and delicious food we have had on a recent 3 weeks trip through the Maritimes. Portions are modest in size but gorgeous in taste. Practice slow-eating for an extended period of pleasure! Caveat: the place is very busy and you are well advised to make a reservation. Staff is quite efficient and friendly, but the management definitely... More

My wife and I ate there early evening and the place was very busy yet everything seem to run like a well oiled machine, there was lots of staff to cover all the bases. We shared the flashed fried calamari, polenta board with 2 sauces and the lobster filled ravioloni. All the dishes were well done and tasted superb. Also... More
