This place is reliable if you want good drinks, tasty food and a fun busy atmosphere with nice views of Halifax harbour. On his night enjoyed the mussels, garlic shrimp and lamb shank. Service consistently good and fun to interact with staff.

This was my first time to the Bicycle Thief, and I can honestly say I had a great time. The place was very busy, however a group of us had made reservations so we had no problems, I would suggest doing this prior to coming as there were line ups at the door and I think it would be a... More

to sit by the fire and have an exquisite meal. The service from the minute we walked in until we got into the taxi they ordered for us, was impeccable! Our waiter was very attentive but unobtrusive and took care of us beautifully. The menu is extensive and very descriptive. Each morsel we had from my beet and pear salad... More

Had a celebration dinner and from start to finish everything was perfect! The only small deterence was that it was quite noisy, but the food made the experience totally worthwhile.

Truly a great place to spend an evening out. While enjoying great food of course... The moment our party of four walked in, we were greeted with a smile and great A+ service. The wine possibilities are endless and the bar has everything you could ask for. The atmosphere is eclectic, classy and unforfettable! Love the decor. Lots of interesting... More

So they have good food (apparently) . They also have a lot of hype. My meal was definitely pretty average for the price and served with environmentally unfriendly mini ketchup bottle The server was irritating though the English busboy was delightful. My sense is that they pack you in. Get you through the meal. And get you out fast. At... More

What a wonderful find. Great food -- I had the lamb shank which melted in the mouth. Wonderful location looking out over the harbour. Possibly the best service I've ever had in a restaurant. Good prices. And the staff T-shirts are very nice -- had to buy one.

I've been at The Bicycle Thief a few times with my colleagues. It's always a nice experience, even at lunchtime. There's a pleasant view of the Halifax Harbour. The food is delicious, and sometimes abundant enough to take part of it home. The staff are nice and knowledgeable, which comes in handy when dealing with my gluten allergy. Highly recommend...
