Upmarket Italian style food

Food, atmosphere, value, service were the best of anywhere I've dined. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Really enjoyed our seafood platter appetizer and pasta dinners. If you are chocolate lover, make sure you leave room for dessert. Friendly wait staff helped with wine selection. More of a modern atmosphere compared to other Halifax restaurants which had more of historic feel. About a 10-15 walk from the town center

We visited the Bicycle Thief during this snowy March, however I imagine it would be a wonderful spot in nice weather - right on the water! The restaurant was "hopping" and the main area, which has lovely large window views, was quite noisy. Our party of 4 moved to a table in a smaller room just right of the front... More

Very good food, with amazingly fast service, perhaps not to everyone's liking. The rib was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were perfectly crunchy. Very lively atmosphere and a good choice of wines by the glass.

An imaginative menu and excellent preparation and presentation are hallmarks of this restaurant. It offers fine dining and an upscale ambiance. The one slight drawback is that it felt a it crowded, and that resulted in a bit more background noise than we would have liked. Still, we'll return next time we are in the neighborhood.

Perhaps we chose a bad night! The restaurant was crowded and noisy. Our courses were delivered in quick succession, not a comfortable pace to enjoy an evening with friends. We definitely had the sense that they were trying to turn tables as fast as possible. The appetizers were disappointing, especially the panzanella - it seems to have lost its Italian... More

The restaurant was very busy although it was a Tuesdy night but the hostess kindly found us a spot. I had the beef tenderloin at the recommendation of the waitress and it was delicious, although my companion found it too rare. The side of fries were perfectly cooked but a bit too salty. The Dessert - coconut cream pie with... More

Two words; red ravioli. Wish I could resist ordering it so I could try something new but it's just too darn amazing!

This is my favorite restaurant in Halifax. My favorite are: the (Yellowfin Tuna Tartare with avocado, Sesame cucumber spaghetti, Pickled ginger wasabi cream) and the Handmade Ravioloni stuffed with fresh local Lobster, Mascarpone, and chives. The wine list is impressive. The ambiance is nice - on the waterfront. Love this place.
