Have been to BLQ on numerous occasions and have always been served by an extremely friendly staff- and have always been delighted by the food and drink. The bar may be the best in town for mixed drinks!

We recently spent 9 days in Halifax and during that time dined at some of the best restaurants in the city. Our favourite of all was the Bistro Le Coq. The service provided by Chris, Asher and Jennifer was absolutely first rate, and the food was consistently excellent on each of our visits. The restaurant has a very inviting decor... More

I think this was the best meal we had on our 10 days trip to Nova Scotia, even better than a French food in Quebec City! I had beef cheeks and a dish that resembles warm potato salad – both are simply excellent and reasonably priced for high end cuisine. Highly recommended!

All round one of the best experiences of eating and being taken care of by the staff. Plus as it was my birthday too it just made everything so special. I have been back a couple of times to enjoy drinks and starters. I look forward to celebrating soon at this wonderful restaurant. I love the decor, food is tasty... More

Stopped in for lunch a couple of weeks ago. A nice place tucked into a row of restaurants on Argyle Street. Both my wife and I had nicely prepared dishes, and the ingredients seemed very fresh. The service was good, and they were busy at the time. Recommended.

We were looking for something different. Our hotel recommended this lovely French Restaurant on Argyle St and we were definitely not disappointed. Our meals were delicious (steak and frites), the wine was good and reasonably priced. The service was excellent as well.

My husband and I really enjoyed our meal here. The food was much better than we expected to find and was a delicious treat. One of the nicest meals we have had out in a long time. Some have commented the service was slow but this was not our experience, we took our time but when we wanted the waitress... More

This was hands-down one of the best meals I have ever had. Who knew Halifax would have such an amazing restaurant? From the minute we walked in, everything was perfection. The service was amazing- attentive but not overbearing. The food was phenomenal. We started with a cheese plate, then had a bibb salad, and then I had a lobster and... More

We were aiming to go to "Two doors down" only to be told an hour wait, so as a group of 7 we headed out on a busy Friday night and were able to grab a spot here, and are so glad we did. The food was fantastic, the only complaint is that the service was extremely slow. I know... More
