We ate here twice during a long weekend visit - it is THAT good! Nice atmosphere - we sat at the bar. The food is delicious and the creme brulee is spectacular. Highly recommended!
We have eaten at the Bistro several times before performances at Neptune Theatre, which is just across the street from the restaurant. The Bistro continues to improve. On the latest visit, three of us had steak frites. It was perhaps the tastiest steak I have ever had. And the duck fat fries with seasoned mayo are beyond delicious. One other... More
Very good food especially the tuna tartar appetizer, friendly professional service. When you let them know you are going to the theater, they ensure you are finished and bill paid in time. Have eaten here several times both when attending theater and when friends want to take us out to dinner. Prices not sky high, good ambiance and good selection... More
We have eaten here on two occasions and both have been great experiences. The food is excellent, the restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service is everything it should be. We will be back....
Service was wonderful. Food was better. Great ambiance. Dieters beware - they say there is no fat, salt, or cholesterol in the delicious food, but, duck fat fried chips - I wonder. We will return again. A Reservation is a good idea if you're noshing in prime time.
I wasn't sure about this restaurant when my husband suggested it. But yum, was it good. We had creeps which were just alright. But the mussels, pâté and cheese plates were all very tasty. Great drinks too!
Back again for another great meal at Bistro le Coq. We started with our usual dozen oysters which were as terrific as ever. Awesome place, food is great and service lovely! The decor is awesome and you feel so comfortable - great cocktail list! Yum!
Fantastic. All our meals were superb, the wine was well-chosen, the desserts were killer, and the service was lovely. Skip the bland boozecans elsewhere on Argyle and come here instead.
If you want to experience the feeling of being in Europe , then go to le Coq. The champagne sold by the glass, is an event in itself. Excellent food and service make this place an outstanding choice for both visitors and local Haligonians.
