My sisters and I went out for dinner with great expectations, but unfortunately the dining experience left a lot to be desired! The hostess was very friendly and sat us promptly. Our waiter then appeared and asked us what we would like a drink. We asked for a few minutes, and twenty minutes later I got up to find the... More

This was our first visit to to Bistro Le Coq and we were not disappointed. I will recommend this restaurant to friends. We ate more than we intended to eat because everything on the menu was just so yummy. We had: mussels and frites, bone marrow and bread, scallops, duck breast and creme bruele. IT WAS ALL SO GOOD. Wine... More

Wonderful experience. Very nice decor and a very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly server. We decide to go with the pre fixe menu. Whereas many restaurants use this mechanism to offer lesser menu items at a value, this one had some of the most imaginative items, which were not on the main menu. We had a very nice bisque with blue... More

The restaurant was well-staffed, and servers very helpful (and bilingual). Dietary restrictions accommodated (gf). The pave de boeuf was quite good, but it is the salade Nicoise I'll remember. (Fresh and perfect with lightly seared sesame seed encrusted tuna).

I have been here three times for supper. I love this restaurant. The food is sooo good and the atmosphere gives you a feeling you are back in Paris. My husband is French and his meal reminding him of his mom's homemade meals. He has never said that before.

Rarely do I handout five star reviews BUT this was the best gnocchi I have ever had. Cream sauce + gruyere cheese = heaven. Lovely service too. I believe Katie was our server. Bravo mes amis!!

We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Service is always great, cocktails tasty, wine list comprehensive, but it's the food that stands out the most. You really feel like you're eating at a bistro in France. And they have the best cheese board in the city!

Nothing about this little slice of France disappoints. Beautifully plated meals excite the palate. Wait staff are wonderfully attentive. Great for large groups too.

We love to go to Bistro Le Coq, especially for brunch before the theatre. There is a broad Brunch menu, but I have been devoted to the Steak Sandwich and Frits - the best in the city. However, I will be ordering the Lobster Bennie next time, with fresh Nova Scotian lobster. All of the ingredients are fresh and when... More
