I went here for dinner with my husband because our first experience was so great. This time I had the devil burger and paid the extra $1 for sweet potato fries and it was delicious! I had the raspberry daiquiri to drink and I wouldn’t recommend it. It was basically a snow cone with a shot of rum... read more

By far the best restaurant experience we had in Halifax...and it's directly across the street from the Marriott Harbourside Hotel. Seafood Pasta with a rose sauce over linguini , jumbo shrimps and scallops. Spouse had the nightly special, roast beef with all the trimmings. Caesar salad had one of the best dressings I've ever tasted. One and only negative...5 oz.... More

We were at Baton Rouge on Sunday, August 30, 2015. Our server was Marie. She made our visit so nice with her beautiful smile and her genuine caring attitude. The floor manager dropped by and made sure everything was what we expected. And the food was hot tasty and plentiful. We left stuffed. I recommend the ribs. They were cooked... More

We were staying in the Marriott next door and with a Caravan tour. Dinner was on our own so we choose Baton Rouge. We had a group of 9 and were seated quickly. They have outdoor or indoor seating. The food was very good but we were impressed with the staff. Very friendly and accomodating. The manager came to the... More

Always go for the ribs at BR. I have been to other locations in this franchise, and found this one to be lacking in character. Very dark and looks dated. Overall good service which makes a difference.

Thank you for your review. I am pleased you were happy with your service and menu choices. I apologize that you did not like the decor. This is an historic building, built in 1839. When the restaurant was being built the owners wanted to keep as much of the original charm as they could. I hope you will dine with... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat in Halifax that we had not been to before and came across Baton Rouge. The annoying thing is like many restaurants in Halifax there is no parking. The decor is nice and rustic with very high ceilings. We made a reservation and were given a nice circular booth. My parents had the prime... More

Dined here as an adult family of five. Could not have asked for better service or food! We picked "upstairs" for our reservation, but there are nice lower level and outside patio tables too. Steak was delicious and the Caesar salad is the VERY first one that I can say rivals my own homemade recipe! Delish.... Portions were generous, prices... More

We returned here after visiting a month ago. Last time I left a 5 star review as their Prime Rib dish was the best I've ever had. I was really hoping for a repeat performance, but was disappointed. The service was not great, very slow; however, I got the impression that the waitress was brand new, almost as if she... More
