Great spot for lunch

We sat in the window area and had a pleasant lunch. One of us had fish and chips with the fish being unbattered local arctic char. This was very good. The other person had a superb dragon's breath salad (heart of romaine with great local bacon, shaved cheese and a sauce with local dragon's breath... read more

Creative dishes with the farm to table flare. Just the perfect spot for a nice lunch and the vibe is perfect. Do get the dragons breath salad. Quite nice....

My Husband and I went out for a much deserved dinner date. We wanted to go somewhere different. We weren't dissapointed. The atmosphere was cool. Very rustic and down to earth. The staff were great very helpful and effecient. I love how their menu changes all the time and they have chalk boards for menus. Food was amazing and so... More

Great menu and excellent food. They have a different menu everyday depending on the fresh and local food available. Various appetizers, about 6 entrees and 3-4 different desserts - all delicious and fresh. Waiting staff are very informative and friendly. Old bar is beautiful to see.

My first experiences with the Brooklyn Warehouse occured when it first opened. At that time I enjoyed going to a restaurant that was vibrant and community focused. My most recent visit demonstrated a place that no longer seemed to have that personal touch and unique flair. Portions are notedly smaller and quite costly. The burger, once their to die for... We have dined on delicious food here several times and were pleased that when we recently invited visiting friends, it didn't let us down. We always choose from the specials on the chalkboard and they are always interesting creations from local sources. Duck, chicken, seafood - it has always been perfectly cooked and accompanied by just the right accents of... More

This restaurant is not particularly inviting from the outside and is situated out of the city centre, but it is worth seeking out. The emphasis is on slow food based on quite simple, high quality ingredients. Everything we had was very enjoyable, great oysters with fresh horseradish and superb fruit tarts to finish with. A good range of beers and... More

We had reservations for 7:30. We arrived by taxi. They weren't ready and not pleasant. We didn't wait long but when ready they put us under a huge, opened, screened window, on a cold, blustery Halifax night, on the porch. I asked the man if we could please move inside where it was cozy. He pointed to a large table:... More

Went there last night for a memorable meal. Drinks and appetizer were good. We had oysters and a scallop pork belly appetizer that was super good. We both orders the halibut and it was served on a scrumptious risotto. We were so full we had to pass on the good looking desserts. Very enjoyable meal !!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Halifax!! Like others, if you are lucky enough to find them, they focus on simple but intriguing preparations of locally sourced, sustainable products. This means that the menu changes constantly -- but it never disappoints. Start with the charcuterie board for a selection of cured meats, pates and other delights. Any of... More
