Lunch you can live with

I must confess, I love this place for lunch. Chef and Mark Gray is making huge inroads on the Canadian culinary scene. The restaurant building itself is a throwback to the Halifax Explosion era. It's a once nice early 20th century post-explosion "hydrostone" (read cement block) house built in that... read more

My husband and I had lunch here today. We have always found this restaurant a bit crowded and noisy, so we asked if we could have a table that was not as close to others, of which there were several. The answer was 'no' because they were set for 4 people. We could hear every word of the loud conversation... More

I appreciate the ambiance the location is unique. Food presentation is superlative. But I really feel their price point is high. It is just simply high priced for what is provided. I found the staff top drawer and theme was unique. I guess if you want to provide burgers on the menu there needs to be a way to deliver... More

We ate here a couple of years ago and had mixed feelings. So we never went back until a week ago. They have been getting great reviews, so we had to see what we were missing. And we found it! Great food! Very nice server and a nice cosy feeling. Everything we had was very good and they like the... More

The ambiance is not warm and cosy so strange we would choose this place on a freezing cold day for lunch. But really, knowing how consistently great the food is and service drew us in. We ordered the dragons breath romaine salad - the best salad in Halifax - and carrot cumin soup and the montreal smoked meat on rye.... More

My family and I enjoyed a great lunch there with a unique style of food that tasted great and also really peeked our interest and our taste buds, service was also great?

Awesome, relaxed ambiance, the food was spectacular (like world class good, not 'good for Halifax') and included lots of excellent organic local meats, cheeses and seafood. Most importantly, however, are the caesars. I brought a non-caesar drinking companion with me who left a full-blown caesar drinker. This place is a must when you're in the city.

after hearing great comments from a number of friends and biz associates I had an opportunity to enjoy lunch there recently. My lunch companion was a customer who has dined at BW frequently. He recommended the burger, which was one of the best I've ever had. Love the wedge style fries too! we sat in the "crowd source funded" section... More

I had heard a lot about the Brooklyn Warehouse and it was mostly positive so finally got to check it out. The unique thing about the place is that they concentrate on more local cuisine so they change the menu pretty much every day from what I can see. There were no printed menus, just what was on the chalk... More

I recently enjoyed the daily grind and three fried fries. Attentive service and nice dining area. With the evening menu only on the chalk boards throughout the restaurant, we found it a little confusing rather than a printed menu at the table. The burgers are ground daily from a seasoned brisket. The taste was great and the cheese, dill pickles... More
