This restuarant was recommended by my cousin who lives in Halifax. I wanted a casual Italian restaurant, that was open on a Sunday night. The service was quick - we were in and out in less than an hour, including bread and starter salads before our entree. I ordered the Southwestern Fettucini and it was incredible. Portions are perfectly sized... More

Chef Gary continues takes his 'Vines' history to an even Higher Plane. My honey and I each ordered the Seafood Linguini. I usually order this plate as I cannot perfect it in my own kitchen.....Chef Gary Jackson prepares it with just the right amount of pasta with several shrimp, a few scallops and a half dozen mussels all in just... Could also have titled this, Don't judge a book by its cover. Doesn't look great from the outside but what is in store for you inside is a rather nice dining experience. We used a Groupon for our night out. Calamari for an appetizer that had a really interesting kick to it. I had a Red Curry chicken and while... More

Ordered carry out pizza there last night and was not impressed. For the price paid I expected much more then what seemed to be tough dough with cheese thrown on top. But that was not the worst part! That was the only thing I ate for dinner and a few hours later into the night I started feeling extremely ill... More

Went to Vinnie's last night and had a wonderful meal. I think they have above average pastas and I would say the Cesar salad was ok. But the Calamari was hands down the signature dish that we had. They have a zesty tomato based sauce and the calamari is done to perfection. My wife had the butternut squash soup and... More

Went there on recommendation of The Coast. Service was great; prices are OK BUT.......... Pasta was soaked in cream sauce with VERY little seafood and the taste of the seafood was marginal at best. Seafood seemed not fresh. Nothing special in fact not very good.

First time at Vinnie's and it was better than I had imagined. The bread was hot, moist, with a good crust, and absolutely delicious. The Caesar had a lighter version dressing, still creamy but not heavy, and there was an abundance of fresh parm' and bacon. My husband had the calamari which was plentiful for the price, tender and moist,... More

Nice service, very quick and nice. Hot bread bun and butter is a nice touch. Had cannelloni with a side of salad and it was pretty good. Nice meal after a tiring day.

We eat here frequently as it is close to my work. All entrées include soup or salad and fresh Mini loaf of sourdough bread. The pasta entrées are priced nicely between 14 and $20. You can start off with a relatively cheap glass of house wine and olive oil balsamic vinegar for dipping the bread in. This is followed by... More

It was OK, but I really don't understand the hype. The bread was nothing special, just dense white bread. Not like you would get in Italy; more like what you would get at your grandmother's house. The caesar salad was absolutely drenched in dressing - I couldn't even eat it. And the pasta (I had lasagna; my husband had the... More
