First time at Vinnie's and it was better than I had imagined. The bread was hot, moist, with a good crust, and absolutely delicious. The Caesar had a lighter version dressing, still creamy but not heavy, and there was an abundance of fresh parm' and bacon. My husband had the calamari which was plentiful for the price, tender and moist,... More

Nice service, very quick and nice. Hot bread bun and butter is a nice touch. Had cannelloni with a side of salad and it was pretty good. Nice meal after a tiring day.

We eat here frequently as it is close to my work. All entrées include soup or salad and fresh Mini loaf of sourdough bread. The pasta entrées are priced nicely between 14 and $20. You can start off with a relatively cheap glass of house wine and olive oil balsamic vinegar for dipping the bread in. This is followed by... More

It was OK, but I really don't understand the hype. The bread was nothing special, just dense white bread. Not like you would get in Italy; more like what you would get at your grandmother's house. The caesar salad was absolutely drenched in dressing - I couldn't even eat it. And the pasta (I had lasagna; my husband had the... More

This place does not look like much but don't be mistaken. Some of the best pasta in Halifax, always fresh made and with great sauce. Everyday pricing and nice selection.

This is our second time here and it is still the best food(Italian) in Halifax. A small and unassuming place, tastefully decorated, that is always brimming with patrons. We had their famous loaf of on-site baked bread(awesome!!!) and the Caesar salad which is to die for...very garlicy and so fresh!) My husband had the seafood fettucine special and he loved it! I... Pasta has been my fav for all times and I'm pretty picky about it! This place never disappoints me! I always have the same meal (pesto) but never hasitate tasting my friends' dishes. Absolutely amazing! Home made bread and the butter is a delicious meal themselves. If you haven't been here... Boy, telling ya! You're missing a feast!

The garlic chicken pasta is sublime and the ceasar salad is rich and garlicky. We also love, love, love the hot and delicious homemade sourdough bread slathered with melting butter. Yumm! Yumm!

Ate here on a Thursday night with my wife. The restaurant was 3/4 full, which is usually a good sign. Place is small but cozy although a little loud. I ordered the Calamari based on previous reviews I read and was not impressed. I have had good and bad Calamari from around the world and this is the first time... More

Having read many reviews for Vinnie's pasta bar, we decided to go for dinner mid-week. It was quite busy when we arrived at 7pm, but we had no trouble getting a table, as many diners were finishing up and leaving. As soon as we were seated the waitress brought us water and fresh bread and butter. We started with the... More
