Visited this unique old brewery. There is a tour available as well as a pub that serves great beer and good food. We tried the local fish and chips as they are known to be good there and it sure was. The beer was really good as well! We were on a cruise so if Halifax is a stop check... More

Attended an event in Halifax with a group and ate here twice. Once was inside and our party of 7 enjoyed everything that they had. The atmosphere was great and we very much enjoyed ourselves. The Saturday night of our visit found us upstairs on their outside patio which was a highlight for sure. The staff, the food and of... More

I really didn't like much about this place. The food is really not great, it seems like everything is pre-made or frozen and is just food for the masses. The service is juvenile and it took 30 minutes to get a salad to the table. It also felt cave-like, which did not help. I come for business monthly and generally... More

My wife and I were on a cruise with Halifax being one of our ports of call. When we inquired about places to enjoy lunch ashore, people recommended walking north on the boardwalk to the casino. Don't waste your time. While wandering around, we found the neatest spot ever, just a couple blocks north of the pier. Located a block... More

The place is known for its fish and chips, and the fish is very good. Ale prices are better than average for Halifax. The burgers are fine but nothing special, and when I've tried other dishes I've been disappointed. Service is adequate but waitstaff get overrun when it is busy. The decor is love-it-or-hate-it. I love it. A boothed room... More

I had the extra delux bacon cheeseburger and Diane had the fish and chips. Both were delicious. Good service, good food, good pub atmosphere.

We missed the brewery tour by 15 minutes but stayed for a couple Keiths and food. I had the Lobster Dip and it was great. The service was good. The prices decent. The atmosphere in the history building was awesome.
