Great Rooftop Patio at Keith's Brewery

We have been here a few times before and always enjoyed it. We sat on the rooftop patio on a beautiful summer evening for dinner. Food is typical pub food. My husband is a huge Keith's fan so he really enjoyed the beer. Only thing I would change is to have the white wine be a bit colder - would... read more

One of the Keith's Brewery tours was moved to a later time so we decided to grab lunch at the Red Stag Tavern to get into tour mode. Our service was prompt, friendly and attentive. The beer, of course, was cold and great for the hot day that we visited. We sat on the roof top and it was gorgeous.... More

I love to go out and order nachos and enjoy cooking them at home also ... this would rank as one of the lowest quality in Halifax ..... I feel bad for servers when they have to serve stuff like that .... in saying that, she was excellent, would not return

Since we live just around the corner from the Red Stag, this is one of our favourite spots to drop in for a cold beer. The waitresses are always friendly and very talkative to us. When we do stop for a bite to eat...the food has been excellent. Thanks again!

Went there with group of six. Wife had the what was listed as seafood chowder and got a thin cream soup with only bits of clams. "if you wanted lobster, you had to ask for the lobster chowder:" I had nachos which was advertised as their claim to fame and it was dripping with grease. Advertised as making their own... More

This is an Irish Pub with nice servers. They kid about being a bar where servers do not wear pants. This is because they are all clad in beautiful kilts. Situated in the old Keiths brewery, they offer several beer choices on tap. I was less impressed with the food. I chose the stuffed chicken. I was hoping for a... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. The kilts are just an added touch to the already old Halifax atmosphere of the building. If you are ever in town again please get in contact and enjoy an appetizer on us! Have a great day and thank you again! More

My wife and I stopped in for a beer on a hot, sight seeing day. The bar is attached to the Keith's Brewery, and was a nice respite!! It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, very friendly bartender who gave us samples of the different beers to taste. The beers were good and reasonably priced. A nice hidden gem for couples... More

Terrific patio! Loved the nachos and the herb-infused oils covering the chips! The service was terrific and the food, and atmosphere -- and of course the beer! -- were perfect.

Located in the Old Keith's Brewery, this spot has a nice rooftop patio which we decided to avail ourselves of on a beautiful summer day. We had a Keith's & a Mike's Hard and an order of their Lobster dip. A good quantity & assortment of bread came with it. The dip was tasty and at $11 or so, decent... More
