Digby scallops were delicious

Tried a variety of scallops and clams - pan fried scallops still the best. Liked the easy going family style restaurant. Staff were very friendly and allowed us to linger to enjoy the view of the harbor.

We were in Digby, New Brunswick, on a Sunday at the end of a brutal winter. In was the end of April and still Spring had not sprung. No one about and we could find nothing open in Digby, at all, except Fundy's. What a treat. First we met the pet lobsters on display as we entered. One is enormous.... More

We had a few hours to kill before boarding the ferry to St. John's and decided to grab some lunch in Digby. Unfortunately most of the shops and restaurants are closed this time of year so we had little choice and the Fundy was not that highly recommended by one of the locals - she said it was okay but... The food we had was very good, albeit a bit more pricey than usual in this part of the world. The staff very friendly, the waitress gave us a demo of how to pick a giant lobster out of the water!

The building certainly has a beautiful view. I am sure this would certainly change the mood in the Summer, but we were here in March. The restaurant is very large and there was only one other couple there while we were there at 12:30. There actually was no one there when we went in so I guess that should have... More

If you want the best scallops you have ever had in your life, friendly knowledgeable service, and a fabulous view, this is the restaurant for you. Prices aren't bad either.

If the weather permits, sit on the terrace overlooking the water. The mussels we had were very good and reasonably priced. We also had the Fundy Scallop Wrap. Friendly wait staff. A good local restaurant.

We popped in for lunch on a recent visit to Digby. You can't got to Digby without having scallops, and I'm glad to have had the chance. The seafood chowder was delicious, and the fried seafood appetizer platter had lots of tasty treats. The scallops were especially delicious. The beer is a bit pricy (almost eight bucks for a 20... We were here twice, two days apart, both time for early supper. Although smoked chowder was good, the rest of the seafood meal (on both occasions) just average. We realize that it is off season, but we did not feel welcomed in a somewhat empty place - perhaps it has to do with "seat yourself" system. Worse yet, coffee cups... More

There aren't many options for dining out on a Sunday in October in Digby, so we ended up at the Fundy. We were greeted by someone folding laundry in the main area of the restaurant, but they were friendly. The decor of this restaurant is a bit old-fashioned - dark carpet, lots of wood paneling. The menu was similar feeling.... More
