Excellent scallops

When we go out for seafood, it is most often wild Alaskan salmon, but we were told that when we were in Digby, we should have scallops. The proprietors where we are staying recommended this restaurant. We had a late dinner on the patio. We had the bruschetta starter, garlic and butter sautéed... read more

Restaurant was nearly empty. Although we got our appetizers quickly had to wait for another hour before our food arrived and then it was cold. Sent it back and it came back acceptable. Not worth the money

I was looking forward to Digby scallops, this restaurant did nothing to the scallops! Fried, overdone and charged $24 for 6oz! The chowder was bland and the fries were frozen not fresh. Service was slow no atmosphere but had a view of the waterfront.

We paid $200 for meals, only one persona had scallops the rest regular meals in terms of price, and 2 drinks. On whole I would say this was just OK food. The scallops were ok not amazing by any means. The vegetables we not cooked properly and too hard. We had dessert, I asked for anything baked fresh. Everything was... More

Stopped in for a mid afternoon bowl of fish chowder and mussels. We were promptly seated by the hostess, but waited forever for a server to acknowledge we were there. Drink order was taken, server returned twice asking again what we ordered?? Finaly ordered the chowder and mussels that were apparently not on property based on the wait time. One... More

Had lunch here. Both of us had chowder, I guess from the same pot but I only found 1 scallop and a few bits of fish, the rest seemed to be potato and onion. Kind of a thin stock without a lot of flavour. My wife had 4 or 5 scallops in hers. We had intended to have dinner here,... More

This is a huge restaurant on the waterfront. Great patio to sit and watch the ships and ocean. Our server was very helpful and friendly. We could not be in Digby and not have scallops, so we chose this restaurant. There are two size portions 6 or 8 oz. seasonnally priced. They were not large but the ones but where... More

What a joke! A late lunch (1pm) stop, based on a local recommendation, turns in to a nightmare. ! didn't notice the grease smell that my wife did upon arrival, wish I would have, in short the nonexistent watress finally brought us our entrees be for our appetizer, no tea refill, no check back. The grand finale is the digestive... More

We were excited to try a local restaurant for lunch on our visit to Digby and were torn between trying this one or the Boardwalk Cafe a couple of doors down. I haven't tried the Boardwalk, but was a bit disappointed with the Fundy Restaurant. We chose it because they advertised a kids menu, which was good, but nothing special.... More

We ate here a couple times while in the Digby area and it was great both times. We were looking for food that was not deep fried and this place had a good selection of fresh seafood at reasonable prices and a great view of the harbour. Service was friendly and fast. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for good... More
