Good lunch, good portions, tasty food

Good lunch, good portions, tasty food. Service was pleasant and efficient considering how busy were the servers.

Stopped here with my sister after getting off the ferry from Saint John. This place was good in the past but the gravy on my hot hamburger was just terrible. Must be some type of commercial mix - I would advise they change it. Volume of food was certainly adequate but overall I was disappointed and surprised. At least the... More

Like all Irving Big Stops this one does "home-cooked" style food. The menu has a good variety of items from sandwiches through to full meals. There is a menu for both kids and seniors (reduced portions for seniors). The service is usually fast and friendly and the meal is always well prepared. Bear in mind this is "truck stop" food... I stopped in kver the weekend while on a road trip with friends and ordered the chicken strips and fries. The meal was quite dissapointing . The fries were limp and undercooked, the should be nice and crispy, they were quite gross and the chciken fingers were more like An oversized nugget, very very small and not work the price... More

This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Digby! My boyfriend and our friends eat here frequently. The food is delicious, and the time wait for your food is reasonable, however the service is better at other Irvings. If you are looking for a home cooked meal on the road, this is the place to go!

He stopped for a hot, home cooked meal. His baked potato seemed baked, then reheated about 3 times! Veges were not recently cooked - reheated. His Mozza Chicken tasted ok, but was over cooked. He didn't say anything, but left most of the food on his plate - hoping they would get the hint. Not planning to revisit anytime soon.

I have never had such terrible service .There were eight tables with customers counting ours (not busy ). Had order taken right away from overworked waitress. 35 minutes later walked out without having our food brought out . We ordered soup of the day and 1 hamburger. Was told the reason we didn't have food yet was because of making... More

Stopped h ere for a quick bite during a business trip as it was close to the highway and time was precious. I don't typically eat at gas station restaurants but we needed a quick lunch. I was happy that my expectations were exceeded. I had a starter soup that was, surprisingly, made in house and tasted quite good. The... More
