A Surprisingly Wonderful Dining Experience

We came across Mag Pyes by accident. We were staying at the Digby Pines and when we asked if any place in town had live music, we were told no. We decided to head into town anyway to check things out. As as were driving along Water Street, we saw a small sidewalk sign indicating Mag Pyes had... read more

We had a great evening enjoying a four-course dinner of delicacies, prepared with love and arranged with attention to detail. The owners are very friendly and outgoing, they made us feel at home right away. The place is a cosy and has a living-room feel to it. Though they are not licensed, they encourage you to bring your own wine... More

We had breakfast here this morning, and we loved the entire experience. The staff was relaxed and friendly, yet very professional. The dining area looks out over Digby harbor, while the inside is decorated with souvenirs of the owner's travels, many of which reflect a love of antiques. Our meal was inexpensive for what we ordered, and we both agreed... More

Very much enjoyed the food and hospitality of the chef, owner. Four course set menu for $35 was more than enough to sate our appetites.

Mag Pye's takes dinner to an entirely new level. The caliber of service and menu items is top-notch. A palette cleanser, which tonight is home made sorbet made with fresh, hand-picked stewed rhubarb, and drizzled with Stoli Vodka is divine. Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious. Mussels are fresh and tasty. Scallop ceviche is packed full of flavour and the... More

Another wonderful find from Trip Advisor: I think Margaret's cafe is definitely a local's spot for quality food and a sense of community. Mag Pye's gave us both a welcome taste of the local. Wooden tables and chairs, lightly embroidered tablecloths and cloth napkins give the feel of a tea shop; delicious fish tacos and haddock chowder for my husband... More

Went for breakfast on a rainy morning in Digby. Whilst the service was friendly, the food was nothing special. I found the coffee to be undrinkable.
