Best Breakfast heart of gold staff

We stopped for breakfast as recommended by the Harmony B&B Abe were pleasantly surprised by the quality. While the cook was not familiar with "basted" eggs, the over easy were cooked properly at medium and the bacon was as requested. My husband had the poached on salmon, and he found them... read more

Margaret and Tony run a quaint little place with home-made delicious meals at Mag Pyes café......their bed and breakfast is as equally quaint and lovely My sister and I ate breakfast every morning last summer 2014---not just because everything on the menu was delicious but also because its the ONLY RESTAURANT IN TOWN that serves expresso and capacino----the best too... Had the full 4 course meal - the vodka "refresher" was a much appreciated bonus. It was too late to buy wine but mein host managed to find me an excellent glass of pinot gris - lovely.

we had a pretty bad meal last night, at $38 per person. the starting seafood chowder was ok, not great, and was in a small tea cup, so a small amount. The ceviche was highly recommended by the maitre de, but was in a tiny champagne cup, which was mostly filled with two large lettuce leaves. The ceviche itself was... More

Well, I am pleased to see that you found an outlet to express your lack of enjoyment during your dining experience at Mag Pyes. You must feel a lot of relief getting this off your chest. Your waitress and my self did inquire several times during your dinner if everything was to your liking, and, at no time did you... More

We visited with our two teens for a late breakfast. My older one had French toast that was "marvelous". The rest of us had eggs. The staff was friendly. The service was timely and the coffee was good. We asked a pedestrian for directions and they recommended the oatcakes so we split one for dessert and it was delicious!

The waiter was very upbeat and welcoming which started our day off with a smile. The blueberry pancakes were great and my companion joked about having chocolate chip pancakes(not on the menu) and he said no problem. Coffee and side of bacon complimented our meal at a very reasonable price.

We are 5 women visiting from Toronto who visited Mag Pye's based on reviews. We were not disappointed!! Margaret, chef extraordinaire and her husband, Tony, wonderful server, have created a jewel of a restaurant. The water views, delightful china and amazing food and service were fantastic. The food was locally sourced and exquisitely presented. The entire evening was enhanced by... More

I was also there with my husband and agree that the music for such a fine dining restaurant with impeccable service was not appropriate. Music in such an intimate setting should be light in the background and not make conversation difficult. Although the musician is playing for a very worthy cause, I specifically came to this restaurant for a repeat... More

We are seasoned travellers from French Canada and can be quite demanding when it comes to dining at restaurants. We were delighted to discover Mag Pyes and returned the following evening to indulge ourselves once again. The restaurant is charming .The feeling is one of being a dinner guest at the home of a friend. The tables are set with... More
