We heard this was the best place in town - Cute place, right downtown Digby, staff was nice though a little hesitant about children. They were fine about the kids once we were in. Gave more attention to one child than the other. Bathroom was disgraceful. Serving sizes were a little small for my husband. Expected more for the price... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Mag Pyes. We were happy that we could accommodate you and your family, even though you did not have a reservation. We did hesitate on being able to provide you with appropriate food choices, as you mentioned you had two children under the age of 4. We do not offer a children's... More

We have had some lovely meals while holidaying in Canada and would rate this up there with the best! We enjoyed the menu selection - which is four courses for $38 plus a starter of liver pate, beetroot hummus and olives. We enjoyed each of the courses - and were especially impressed with the pan cooked fresh flounder fillets and... More

I have traveled to 50 different countries and have had my share of restaurants and meals. Some very tasty, some with excellent service, and some with memorable scenery. And so i find myself on a golf trip with business colleagues at the Pines Resort in Digby. Having experienced the Churchill's Lounge last night i ventured off on my own to... More

Mag Pyes is run by a family that has both a B&B and restaurant in Digby. The restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. Dinners are a prix fixe 5 course meal, with several choices for each course except the appetizer. At C$38, we thought it was a great value. They have no alcohol license, so you are permitted to bring your... More

This is an old fashioned family restaurant. If you like homemade food and pleasant conversation, then this is the place for you. We really enjoyed ourselves here and the owners and regular patrons were enjoyable and made it a pleasant visit. If you are in Digby you must stop in here.

What a treat to find such a fantastic resturant only 1/2 hour away from home. Excellent value for a 3 course meal, which also included an asume bouche with homemade pate and breads and a wonderful sorbet prior to the main course. The presentation of the food was excellent and the taste even better. It is a very casual and... More

Our B&B recommended this restaurant and booked us a table. It is a small venue and only holds maybe 20 diners and has maybe 2 seatings nightly. We were met at the door and seated immediately. The menu was "local" - what we wanted....and the meal was served in pleasant courses. All four of us were impressed with the quality... More

Our dinner at Mag Pyes was the highlight of our stay in Digby. The 3-course menu was nothing short of scrumptious, and at a $35.00 price--a real bargain. Dinner started with a plate of pate, beet infused humus, crostini and home-made bread....a delicious starter. The scallop ceviche and chowder were outstanding first courses. Of course we were in Digby so... More

There are people who cook and present food as an business and then there are people who simply love what they are doing. The couple at Mag Pyes seem to simply love what they are doing and it shows through the quality of their food and service. Dining in their small, cozy cafe is like having the meal of your... More
