We went mid afternoon, and only a few tables were occupied. We both had smoked cod cakes, with a very nice tomato compote underneath, and a quite large garden salad on the side. Loved the atmosphere of the whole place. I had the pan seared scallops over mixed greens with bacon. Yum. My husband's seafood linguine was a bit bland though.

I liked Everything about Jamieson's - the atmosphere, food and service. It is a little pricey for casual fare but that isn't why I go there.

The whole atmosphere is always nice. Good food selection and service is the best in town. No better Irish pub in Nova Scotia. Most caring and kind people to greet you.i like supporting a business that gives back to the community .Nice live bands.

We found this place on Trip Advisor while we were planning a motorcycle tour of the Maritimes. It was our first night in Nova Scotia and could not have found a better place for dinner. We were a party of four and had a table in center of the restaurant. We all had different appetizers, dinners and deserts and nothing... More

I was disappointed with my return to Jamiesons after many years out west. We were crammed into a 2 seater table right next to another table when the restaurant Only had 3 other tables of guests. My first choice (halibut) for an entree was unavailable, not because they ran out but it was no longer offered. We weren't told this... More

The pub looks nice from the outside, but nothing special. Then you walk in and see the unique murals and decorations, including two areas on either side of the door that are like libraries or dens in an old manor. Read about the history of the area, find hidden scenes in the Irish town setting, or even dine at one... More

Took my family of 9 out for a special dinner. We waited in the cozy sitting area until all my brothers and sisters arrived. As our guests arrived our server presented their drinks and we pre-ordered our apps. Once seated at our table, our apps arrived in a timely matter for all to enjoy and our entrees selections were taken.... More

Finally made it to Jamieson's because of the many great reviews, but only when house renos forced us out to eat. We'll be back very soon. The pasta special for 2 was suggested by the server when we both ordered it as an entree. $49 gave us the 2 entrees; plus one starter and 2 deserts, so saved $15. Great... More
