This place has wide plank floors and a gorgeous wall painting of an Irish street scape from 100 years ago. There is a waiting area of a fireplace filled with candles, comfy chairs, fascinating local tourism hardcover books and coffee table books. Drinks can be had in this sink-in-and -never-get-up area. The menu is diverse enough to find healthy choices,... More

Used to be one of our go to spots, but menu needs a serious update. Same selections since I can remember. Decent food but a little bored by now. Nice atmosphere and good service.

I visit Dartmouth about every 2 years and ALWAYS make an effort to eat at Jamiesons. Wonderful food. Wonderful atmosphere. A true neighborhood gem not to be missed! And... The owner Chris Smith is a sweet host.

Jamieson's has long been a favourite of ours, with friendly attentive staff and an interesting menu. The decor is warm and inviting. Each evening a delicious seafood special is featured , and it is usually well worth trying. They have recently introduced a 10.00 weekday lunch menu. The owner, Chris Smith is often present, and is most attentive to his... More

I cannot say enough good things about Jamiesons. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere always inviting, the staff always lovely, and the experience always fabulous. We rarely go to any other restaurant because we are so comfortable and always so content at Jamiesons. The menu and atmosphere provide something for everyone, whether it be a first date, casual dinner... More

This was my second visit to Jamieson's but I've heard from friends that the food is always good. That's what keeps folks returning. On St. Patrick's Day we enjoyed Jamieson's Irish Pale Ale, beef dip and the chicken/mushroom pasta special. All was tasty and service was friendly. Just a note - be sure to ask for the size of beer... More

The food was excellent, tasty and the roast beef was tender, and juicy. Will definitely suggest to friends and will return again. Thank you for a great... More

Jamieson's Irish House & Grill is by far one of the finest eating establishments in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. A very modest menu but every item is prepared very well and the pricing is very reasonable. This visit My wife had the Poached Pear Salad with Toasted Walnuts and the Chicken Special. Both were very well presented and excellent preparation and... More

Went to Jamiesons tonight for a pre-Valentines dinner and it was perfect as usual. The meal was spectacular, the owner, Chris Smith came out and spoke to us and welcomed us. If you are visiting Halifax do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant - it is a perfect blend of Irish Pub and beautiful, cozy restaurant. We love it... More
