Best chowder!

This is possibly the best seafood chowder I've ever had.. Creamy without being heavy, tons of seafood, carrots, potatoes, so yummy and hearty! Highly recommend Jamiesons!

My wife and I met old friends for dinner. The service was good the food was okay but not spectacular. I had Beef and Guiness Stew and my wife had Fish & Chips. The stew was missing potatoes but the waitress went and got them once she was told they were missing . The F&C were good . The fish... More

Just finished an amazing meal, and what a fantastic find. It was a date night for my wife and I after an very taxing year. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was superb. All together it was the most enjoyable dinning experience I've ever had. I would like to thank the owner and... More

This place was always one of our favourites, however on our last two visits it has slipped big time. It seems they are trying to cater to everyone with a wing night, couples night, etc. but lost what they once had which was great food. I would pass on this one.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. The restaurant has great atmosphere. Waitress was lovely, made great suggestions. Had the gourmet burger with onion marmalade and goat cheese and it was fantastic! Would recommend!

This is the best restaurant in Dartmouth. When you are on holidays visiting Halifax, do yourself a favour and grab a quick cab to Jamiesons. The staff is wonderful and friendly - if you are lucky, Pat will be working at the bar and can share a story or two. Leave touristy downtown Halifax for one meal during your stay,... More

We read that this pub served great food and it was very accurate. The place is not old, but looks and feels old inside but the great part was the meals. All ample sized servings, well prepared and it was a very good experience.

Excellent food every time we have been, and the service has always been very good. Jamiesons is one of our go to Friday night dinner spots.

June 16, 2015.. We decided to try Jamieson's 49$ date night dinner for 2. One appetizer, 2 main PASTA ONLY dishes and 2 desserts. Start off.. décor is awful. rough, falling apart (blinds in the windows and uneven floor boards.. I tripped).. Host (owner maybe).. Seating people in Jeans, sweatshirt and sneakers. Umm.. Irish pub or not,.... Bad Form.... THEN... More

My wife and I are loyal customers and frequent Jamison's about twice a month. The staff are always super friendly and for a small restaurant, the food is excellent. They run some great specials on a consistent basis and we are quick to take advantage. Some times there is someone on board to play some music which is always a... More
