Great cafe! Such a good atmosphere and place to chill after a long day walking around. I don't know why it's rated as expensive $$$$ as it's 4 $ on trip advisor but it really wasn't that much money. Yes more than a Tim's coffee but it was cheaper and way better than Starbucks! Loved it!

All I can say is love love love love. Best croissants.....1 is enough to split with two people (unless you're really hungry). ;-)

Very busy, high traffic bakery. They serve typical coffees and bakery items but their main attraction is enormous, different versions of croissants. I had their plain butter and my fiancé had their weekly special croissant called "the Zylvie". My fiancé fully enjoyed and indulged in his croissant but I could not finish my croissant and had to doggy bag the... More

Ordinary baked items only, nothing so great about the store. A bit hyped on the social network. Friendly staff and good spread to cater to your sweet tooth. Kinda too sweet though, might kick up your diabetics a bit. The croissants are really good and large enough for two people.

Had a wonderful mid morning coffee experience at Two If By Sea. It is a unique spot in downtown Dartmouth, NS. It is not fancy but the food and coffee certainly is. The croissants, I'm sure, would stack up to any on the planet. Delicious!

Taking any one of the above items "to go" is like carrying a brick out of the place. Even a cookie weighs a good pound or so ;) Although certainly not low in fat, the baked goods at TIBS are a wonderful treat, and easily shared with a friend or two!

The barista knew what she was doing. She made an excellant cappuccino! The croissants and scones were home made and delicious!

Great coffees and mostly sweets like cinnamon buns! Specialty croissants are delicious but so go to see REAL coffee espresso machines. One shop in downtown Dartmouth and the other on the Halifax waterfront.worth visiting for the atmosphere.

we stopped at their small cafe in the historic properties in downtown halifax. they roast their own beans so the coffee was fresh and had great flavor...but what you need to go for are the croissants...omg! big and buttery...golden and flaky on the outside and perfectly moist and flaky on the inside. we tried a sweet and a savory version... The coffee and the chai lattes are wonderful. The croissants are the best, but they are huge, so plan on sharing.
