Real coffee and unbelievably good croissants and muffins

We lucked into Two if by Sea on the morning after their February blizzard. First impressions were not the best with entering a dark and 1950s industrial warehouse building. Impressions changed quickly though when served by a very bright and enthusiastic server. Double kudos because she even double checked to ensure that we received the correct order. Ordered a macchiato,... More

I wouldn't call myself a hipster, and although this cafe definitely gives a "hipster" vibe you'll find quite a mix there. From moms with babies, work meetings, dates, and solo caffeine seekers. The coffee is always incredible (roasted in house), and TIBS is known for their over-sized, butter-filled, delicious croissants! Its a bit loud, but great atmosphere. Its bright, its... More

it can be hectic at lunch time because of its popularity. Centrally located, relatively easy parking in the vicinity. Only had the coffee, but the ambiance is that good that I'm going back.

Have been many times and the coffee and treats are always fresh. Grab a cup of coffee and people watch.

Their Croissants are to die for! Thick, chewy, buttery doughy goodness! I always get the Chocolate croissant and occasionally try their flavour of the week croissant. I really should venture out of my comfort zone and try their cookies or other baked goods but the CROISSANTS always win! Keep up the good work TIBS!

Stopped by a couple of times for coffee and it was always busy - which I think is a good thing. The baking looked so delicious that I bought their cookbook. Tried a couple of their mega-cookies and they were excellent.

Excellent place to meet and greet people for coffee, tea and sweets. All menu items locally made and brewed. Monthly they host a family dinner for $50 per person and you can bring your own wine. The Chef is amazing and using local produce and meats. Truly a great dining experience. Like sitting around a large family table. Reservations required.

I always get the almond croissants. They sell out fast so you have to get there early. They are excellent

A great little fine in Dartmouth! Cafe style with wonderful pastries and fair trade coffee! Close to the water and a super meeting place! It is a "gotta go there" kinda place!
