Food is good, and it is that community pub where "everybody knows your name"!

Don't you just love that local establishment that is your go-to place when you need a night out of the kitchen. We love a dinner at Ziggy's. Classic pub food, and everyone has their favourites. Jennie, Karen, and the girls are very sweet, attentive, and make you feel at home. The bar staff is... read more

best food and best staff by far. Would highly recommend to anyone of any age. although it is a pub, still great for a family meal and the staff is very pleasant with younger children.

8 family for dinner. Service was friendly & prompt. That is as far as it goes. As a couple our grilled haddock & rib steak specials were disgusting. Instant potatoes with the fish(which was tasteless) & cold chewy veggies. Rib steak was overdone, seared black & chewy, fries soggy & greasy along with same uncooked veggies. The two of us... More

Went there because of ratings. Not sure who rated, but the place was a dive. Washrooms were not clean, the food, well I would have done better with a T.V. dinner. The scallops and clams looked and tasted like something from a refrozen bag from a freezer, the scallops were the size of a dime. The grilled fish had no... More

Tuesday, July 22nd, as we were heading to Newfoundland we stopped by Ziggy's for a meal. I decided on the special, rib eye steak. I ordered my steak medium rare with baked potato. The meal came out quickly, too quickly, and when I cut the steak it was well done. I called our server over and showed her the well... More

First restaurant experience in Canada after spending a long time in USA. Usually nervous about Canadian service in restaurants but not this one!! Excellent service, some of the best in Sydney. The food came in large portions. You certainly get what you pay for. I ordered the grilled haddock and soup, it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place... More

Although the service was good enough, I found the food below average. I have to say that their garlic toast was the worst thing I have ever tasted. And for the price, I've had much better. Sadly I won't be returning to this place. I wouldn't recommend this place, but you can decide on your own.

Okay, you're gonna hear all kinds of reviews raving about the food in this place but the fact is the quality really depends on what you order here. For example, the three other people in my party were satisfied with their orders of steak, fish and chowder while my $12.99 chicken stir fry was made from what tasted like boxed... More

This was probably the third time I have eaten there, this time I was compelled to tell people to stay away. Last Saturday a group of 6 went there. We all ordered fries and wings. There were 6 tiny wings, that must have come from some deformed chicken as there was no meat on them. The fries were piled up,... More

Ziggy's is a regular place for good pub food. It very inconsistent place with the crowds, which makes the service seem rushed even when it isn't that busy. The weekend often draws a large crowd for people to hear the band, and the place gets packed very quickly. The servers always seem to be talking in high speed and running... More
