Busy little spot. Ordered the chef's special and the seafood chowder. Chowder was ok. Nothing to write home about. The Blackened Halibut was delicious but the rice was dry and disappointing. The vegetables tasted like frozen veggies. Too bad because the fish was excellent. The service was good. My waitress was polite and friendly even with a restaurant full of... More

Ambiance is very good. Staff has been friendly the two times I ate there. The upper deck has the best view in the place and if you eat inside the decor is very pleasing as well. The nachos are OK (pub grub) but the Reuben was quite good. I didn't eat the fish and chips but it looked very good.... More

A great find! Definitely give this pub a try! The fish and chips were great, along with local beer. Good service. Reasonable prices.

The restaurant was very busy. We finally got seated after other patrons were turned away. There were empty tables in the restaurant so not sure if they were understaffed or not. Took a long time to get the food. It was good but not outstanding. Probably wouldn't return again. This was my second visit and the first visit took forever... More

While in Sydney for 3 nights, we went to this restaurant twice. You know it has to be a great restaurant when it's very busy with locals. The first visit was Saturday night, and the service was a bit slow, but the place was packed to capacity, with a waiting line at the door. The Seafood linguine was so great,... More

We had just left our hotel in North Sydney and travelled South to Sydney for supper. We got to the pub and it was a busy Friday night with some great live music. It was busy but we had great service and the food and drinks were great!! It was a cool and rainy day, so the patio wasn't open... More

Enjoyable visit on an overnight stop in Sydney. Sat upstairs in the pub (restaurant was downstairs) to sample a few pints of Spruce Red beer accompanied by steak and chips. Good good and great beer, with a local talented musician playing early Saturday evening and a friendly waitress to boot then whats more to like. Enjoyable visit.
