The view was nice. The staff was attentive. The food was very good. The micro-brew beers were tasty.

Good service and helpful with reservations. Our favorite was the spicy shrimp appetizer which was to die for. Others ordered fish and liked their meal; my steak had some gristle but serves me right for ordering steak when I could have had really fresh fish. We would go back.

We went on a Holiday and the place was very busy. Service was on the slow side, needed to get up to get more water ourselves. Very hot night with no air conditioning inside, just fans. We did ask for a spot outside, and when ready were told we could move out but food had arrived and we decided not... More

I was going to say if you ever go to Sydney, eat here, but this place is worth a special trip. We have traveled the US and the world, and this meal beat San Francisco, Napa Valley, New York and Paris. Haddock and halibut perfectly cooked, sauces divine. Our total bill for two with a half bottle of great local... More

A year ago I had a very poor meal here with very poor service (2 hours to eat lunch with a party of 5). My partner really wanted to try it, despite my terrible experience last year. So, two nights ago, I agreed to try it again, thinking that things might have improved. Was I ever wrong. I went here... More

We had a group reservation for 36 people. They gave us a room to ourselves. Food was delicious, did take a while but we were a big group and service was great. Fish and chips were good, maple seafood pasta and the scallops were incredible,(highly recommend both of these. Also good local beer (big spruce, an ale and a red,... More

New to Sydney, we stopped on a whim for lunch. Light rain drove us inside. As always in the Maritimes service was a little slow, but our server was attentive and pleasant. Had to try the meat lover's something or other. Hash browns, scrambled eggs, onions and peppers. Then covered with Portuguese sausage, bacon and pulled pork, and then smothered with... More

We ate at this establishment last night, I ordered a Hamburger meal, my wife ordered the cordon blue sandwich. Burger was burnt and sandwich was made with sliced meats not roast chicken as the menu stated as well it took over 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. The people next to us ordered their meal at the exact same... More

They claim to be the only Guinness on CBI, but we saw some in Mabou as well. We really enjoyed the place and came back the day after we had dinner to see a Ceilidh and had a great time.

Never going back and would not recommend this place to any weary travelers. After a long day of traveling the last thing we wanted to worry about was dinner. We went to this place after seeing the great reviews. However, we were sadly disappointed. The waitress served us room temperature water, with no ice...whereas other tables received ice water. But,... More
