We were guests of the hotel so we got to sample the wonderful seafood chowder more than once. It was worth reviewing -- delicious and creamy and chock full of tender seafood, cooked just right. We have eaten a lot of seafood chowder over the years. This one is delightful. We also ate breakfast here. It was good, nothing extraordinary,... More

We found ourselves staying in Antigonish on a Sunday night and a few of the restaurants we would have chosen were unfortunately closed. However, the receptionist at our motel recommended this place so we thought we'd give it a try. The décor was fine, the service as well. Note that the bar area table have hard wooden chairs and the... More

The fish cakes were disappointing.......more like flattened mashed potatoes and quite salty. Salad was good. Service was very good and waitress pleasant.

Across from our B& B was this gem ! The service was beyond exceptional (great help planning our Cabot Trail trip for the next day; the food was WOW fantastic - fish for one Prime Rib for the other = mouth-watering stunningly excellent. Our motel was on the outskirts of town and the receptionists told us of several places to eat in the main street. I had read of good reports of this place so we decided to visit. Although the restaurant was full we were lucky to find just one table about to leave - the seafood stuffed haddock was delicious. The... More

Food was delicious, well presented and service was excellent. We both had different salmon entrees. It is unusual to have a choice of salmon.

It's worth noting right off the top I have dined at this restaurant at least 50 times over the last 10 years of my life. I am not sure how but consistency is maintained here better then most restaurants I have come across. My favourite meal as indicated by the title is the battered fish and Caesar, the batter is... Right across the street from our B&B, it was recommended - we were skeptical at first since it looked "touristy" but glad we went. We enjoyed the meal and the selection from the bar and the staff was extremely helpful. Enjoy this place for good food and feel at home!

Main Street Cafe is a top-notch spot for lunch or dinner. Good variety on the menu with interesting daily specials as well. Main Street Cafe has become a regular haunt for us as it is a lovely space in which to enjoy a lunch date or an evening meal and for their consistent understanding of and respect for the needs...
