I had heard mixed reviews but I was very impressed with the Indian Food here - the bread was amazing - the curry was just perfectly seasoned, the soup was lovely - tangy and spicy, but not too spicy. Overall, a wonderful meal.

We had a lunch for four of us today. I wouldn't say the food was terrible, but it was just fair, and for the money they charged we certainly expected a lot more. The portions were very small, for instance a butter chicken order had about 5 small chunks of chicken. The service was not great. By the end the... More

I absolutely love Indian cuisine , and i went many times and have been very pleased, To bad the locals are to stuck on meat and potatoes to give this a try! I really hope this restaurant stays around, I was there several times over the last few months and have found the waitresses very friendly, and the food delicious,... More

We went looking for this place having read about it - and found it was now an Indian restaurant. We decided to stay and have lunch of pakora and samosas which were fine. While waiting for our meal, another person came in asking where is 'Sunshine'. We were the only customers at the time.

Honestly, I keep hoping this restaurant will improve. I have gone a lot in the last month. The Indian food tastes great. No doubt about it. Authentic, spicy, hot. Good. However the service is so bad it almost ruins my experience. I've had oodles of experiences like the one I shall describe. The mother of the owner is sweet but... More

We have for a number of years enjoyed travelling through this area and stopping for a healthy lunch at this restaurant previously known for its healthy meals. What a disappointment to find out today that the restaurant has changed hands and the results have caused us to decide to never return. A meal ordered as vegetarian came with chicken and... More

This restaurant has just changed hands. It is now half Indian half what it was - which was fresh food served well and simply. My party of four went to lunch today. We arrived, was shown to a table and forgotten. 20 mins. later I hailed a waitress and ordered drinks and asked about the buffet being set up. I... More

I searched online for a cafe that would offer fresh local food at a reasonable price. I selected the Sunshinr thinking it would meet my needs. The prices on their website are lower than on the menu. When I was there, they said the register was not working. I ordered a bowl of "seafood chowder" that was flat and insubstantial.... More

The young man who served us was friendly and helpful. The menu had some regular fare (spaghetti and meatballs, e.g.) but it also had some interesting things, like the Scottish smoked salmon pizza with feta and olives -- which was very interesting. The spinach salad was also very good. The spaghetti was average, but nothing wrong with it. It was... More

My family stopped here while driving through Nova Scotia a couple of weeks ago. With two adults, a teenager and a baby, it's not always easy to find a place that satisfies all of us. This cafe, however, didn't make any of us happy. My son's hamburger was so rare that there were literally raw chunks of meat in it,... More
