A nice treat, mid-trip

We were driving from Port Hawkesbury to West St Andrews on the Trans-Canada Highway when we drove into Antigonish to look for fuel and food. The food was ambitious and good-tasting, and the espresso very good. The service was a little slow.

We had a delicious meal here last Friday night. The restaurant was almost completely full even at 830 when we arrived. We were torn by all the wonderful food offerings on the menu. I ended up ordering the crab cakes and the risotto with asparagus, scallops and lobster. The flavours were fabulous. My husband shared my crab cakes and had... More

Gabrieau's was the third of the places we tried on the Chowder trail and they had the best chowder so far. It came with a pastry topping and was absolutely delicious. We also had the scallops which were wonderful and tried both the Lobster Thermidor and the traditional Lobster. Traditional won in terms of taste and presentation but it was... More

Was possibly the best dinner we had on our trip from New York to Prince Edward Island to Antigonish Nova Scotia.

As with most places in Nova Scotia, the view was beautiful and the service was friendly. The special of the day was a clam bake pizza and it was fantastic. My friend had the sushi and of course I nibbled :-) – some of the best I've had! They feature local seafood!

Very interesting and relaxed environment. I well recall the unique wine glass chandelier upon entry. Food is gourmet! We both enjoyed the lamb shanks and my husband quite liked the French onion soup. They have an extensive wine list, too! It is definitely a 5 star restaurant!

We have eaten here before and loved it. The current kitchen crew is not as talented as it has been in the past. Try Justamere Cafe instead.

was here for lunch a little while ago and it was good but honestly nothing that special. Place was almost empty and the service was still slow and unattentive. Not sure what our server was doing the whole time. However I would go back to give it another try.

This restaurant is a gem, reservations are recommended but it is elegant dining at its finest with great servers, great chef, awesome food choices and great place to have a wonderful sit down dining experience enjoy a relaxing meal with attentive but non intrusive servers. Great east coast food choices and reasonable prices. Recommend trying this place.

we stopped in around 9:10 PM and were served quickly. The food was piping hot, and delicious. Wish i'd saved room for one of the beautiful looking desserts .....
