My husband and I were holidaying in Nova Scotia for a couple of weeks and we stopped in here for breakfast one morning. They have by far the best coffee in town and an interesting selection of salads, sandwiches and soups. They also have amazing baked treats, such as the cinnamon rolls and incredible pumpkin cookies. The place is airy... More

This place was essential to me surviving my undergraduate degree at StFX.. such great food at such great prices! Every time I visit Antigonish after moving away I make sure I visit this place. The lentil walnut burger and east Indian wrap are my favourites.. and veggie chilli Fridays! Their cookies are also to die for. Thank you Tall and... More

I have to say, i have been reluctant to go into the Tall and Small, because my hipster cred is really low, but was convinced to give it a shot by a friend of mine for lunch the other day. The anti hipster in me was screaming run, but the foodie in me was blown away by all the great... More

I have visited the Tall and Small on several occasions and never have been disappointed. The walls are teeming with local art and the tables always humming with friendly conversation. The food is always fresh and delightful and the staff are pleasant. The Tall and Small is a great place for a meet and greet with friends or coworkers but also... More

The coffee and muffins have always been great here . However the last time I was there the waitress had a lot of coins on the counter she was counting. She took my order and prepared same and did not even wash her hands beforehand. What other unsanitary practices are we not seeing at this establishment. I have not returned.

Tall and Small is a great venue for a healthy, mostly organic lunch made with a lot of local produce when available. The menu is limited but they have some wicket food there. A very quaint spot but a delight to eat there. If you want vegetarian, gluten free etc, it is the best. Hats off to the owners and... More

Used to go here quite often for sandwiches or just a coffee and a quick snack. Last time I was here the service was super slow- but thats minor. While I was waiting in line- having only 2 people ahead of me but waiting 10 mins to be served..I witnessed what was either the owners child, or counter attendants child... More

Food was not bad. I had the lentil burger - quite tasty - and my friends had their grilled cheese. The long wait was not expected since cafe was not even full. So don't go if you are in a hurry. Nice atmosphere though.
