Before purchasing, be sure to verify the price and freshness of the baked goods. Don't be dazzled by the idea of an authentic German bakery experience.

My husband and I happened along this restaurant quite by accident while on vacation. We were totally charmed and captivated by the owners. Not only was the food exceptional...but since it was quiet...we were given a tour. I was very pleased to see the quality of the ingredients and care that goes in to their food. They even go so... We stopped for sandwiches and pastry/ very cheerful and helpful people-great Wiener schnitzel sandwich and smoked salmon on great kaiser rolls- and pastries authentic and really good- they were rewarded a day later when Germany won the World Cup!

I have been there several times and won't go again. they are over priced and when I went for a meal the experience was terrible. The waitress was the daughter of the owners and was too busy trying to hear what everyone said to take care of the person she was taking an order from. One couple just got up... More

This family run bakery/ restaurant was very welcoming. Good selection of sandwiches and delicious soup. Went down well with some German beer. Coconut cookies were delicious!

Came in after the holiday for a loaf of bread and was sold a day old, frozen overnight, loaf. No wonder they put it in a bag before I could touch it. Suggest you go elsewhere.

The food was fine, the service was fine, and the restaurant was fine. Lunch was fine, but nothing special and quite expensive. The bread was really hard, but the pastries were very good. I found the cookies to be really dry. The service was a bit slow considering we were the only customers and the girl was not terribly friendly.

First - we hit this place in between two buses. Its not that big! So, knowing that, we still got pretty decent service. I was impressed. I had the wienerschnitzel (sp?) sandwich and my son had salami. Both were good. What stood out though, were the desserts. It was very hard to choose. I had the strawberry-cheese danish thing. My... After visiting Fort Anne we decided to stay and have dinner before driving to Mavillette where we were staying the night. It was a great decision, we love German food and it did not disappoint the food here is delicious. My husband and I had a pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce and potato salad, we also had a bowl of... Ate a lunch here on a quiet day. Two not very large bowls of soup served with some toasted bread (because day old?) came to $20. The goulash soup was watery and grey broth with tough bits of beef and some vegetables floating in it. The carrot and coconut soup was worse. No flavor of either carrots or coconut milk,... More
