Not a place to return

Food and atmosphere not pleasant. Food not freshly cooked. We would not be back. There are other choices in town.

We were part of a very large group that descended unexpectedly on the pub on a Sunday night, but the waitstaff was a really nice guy and did his best to keep up with everyone's orders.

We had a good supper in Ye Olde Towne Pub. Food was good for a reasonable price. Service was very friendly.

The pub is welcoming with good staff and a good atmosphere. I had problems with my main course but we weren't charged for this - the beer and fried clam starter were excellent.

Hot cider, fried scallops, fried clams and I was able to get small plates so I could taste everything...including raw scallops...though serving it with vinegar was not good. Lime cerviche would have been much better. But it was fair priced and good place to eat

Pub is great!! The beer list is great. Also the food is really good. There is a full menu including seafood favorites, like chowder and scallops and chili and nachos. They also have steak and chicken, if one wants that in NS. Service is wonderful and wait staff are very friendly. One can eat a complete meal or just hang... More

We sat outside and it was very nice. Menu had some variety as not all in my party liked seafood. The restaurant is casual and we were not in the mood that night for a fancier alternative. Food was very good, reasonably priced, and restaurant also has some history. Also, restaurants close early and this has later hours. Overall a... More

This is a below average pub serving below average food by a staff that would prefer being somewhere else. We tried the house special, a bland potato dish that seemed a bit heavy on the bacon grease taste. My husband's fish and chips were tasteless and greasy. We were there on a Sunday night, the place was about 3/4 full... More

This was a disaster. Lousy service, late food order, cold chowder, warm beer and nothing else was any good. Monday July 21st, 2014.
