Good little pub

This little pub right off the main street makes you think you've stepped into London. Great food, service and atmosphere. Had an afternoon cold drink here and later returned for an evening meal. We really liked the fact that this pub offered clams as an appetizer. What a great idea!!! We also had scallops and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Fantastic food!

My wife and I did not want a full meal, just some snacks. The wait staff was very good at helping us make a choice. Also buy two apps, get one free. I thought the pickled herring and raw scallops with vinegar were divine-- just what I wanted.

Hard to rate a place you've only visited once, but because the food was good and so was the service, I rated it as very good. Staff had no issue accomodating changes for dietary reasons. Try the 2 piece Fish n Chips with a cold beer, sit outside if you can :-)

Real pub atmosphere in a small town with good food and drinks. Had a sandwich and a glass of wine. Right on the corner of the market.

We had visited the pub previously and was very happy with the portion and quality of food but this was before the tourist season began but found when we returned during the tourist season the portions and quality of the food was drastically reduced

I started with a tall cool glass of ShipBuilders Cider. I ordered the medium size Burger and Sweet Potato Fries. The server was friendly, polite, and casually professional. Cooked to order, my food took about 15 minutes. Well worth the visit, a true home made 8oz Burger Patty, very fresh, soft Bun, properly seasoned. Paired exceptionally well with my Cider!

We prefer places that are not hushed eating temples. This a pub. It serves good food, our server had a good sense of humour and the banter flowed. Steak was juicy and tender and the clams , really enjoyed them. Recommend this for a down to earth evening out.

Pub located in centre of town. Bigger inside than it looks from outside. Popular with locals so get there early. Good food options plus a selection of local beers. Service was very friendly and helpful. Good value.
