First time going to the bakery, only had two sandwiches available on their menu, a salami & liver one. I had the salami, it was decent, good in size.. but I would not get it again. The Lady working was very nice, but must have asked what we wanted on our sandwich 4 times, coming back numerous times to make... More

Not a bad place for lunch. Food was okay--ham and cheese sandwich without any accountrements. Service was friendly but slow.

The deserts were better than the lunch fare. Although the service was a little slower than we would have liked, the people working there were friendly and otherwise helpful.

I made the trip to this little bakery every time I was in the area. Food with fabulous. Have no had a chance to see the new restaurant, but friends say the service has some kinks to be worked out. Have visited them at the Seaport Farmers' Market as well. Not as good as at the store as it is... More

stopped here for lunch with our two kids and all enjoyed it. Food was authentically German - high quality ingredients, fresh, filling but priced accordingly. Portions look small when they arrive but the richness of the food more than compensates. Pastries are particularly delicious. Unfortunately service is also typically German - waitstaff was friendly but inefficient and there were huge... More

We stopped there for lunch while touring the area. I had the sausage with kraut and potato salad, which I found to be very good. Dear Husband had a sandwich so he would have room for a pastry after lunch, which he declared to be excellent. The cafe dining room is small but sunny, and served by one waitress/cashier. As... More

The food might be good but I didn`t get the chance to try any of it. I was courious to see how this place works and I found a very unfriendly and unpatient owner. I was wondering about the price for a bread and couldn`t make up my mind strait away. She was looking at me very unfriendly saying: "So... More

I am new to the area and visited the bakery a few times. Their pastry is a little high priced but worth having once in a blue moon, only because of the price otherwise I would have it at least every week. Their service is usually good but not exceptional as there seems to be just 1 person doing most... More

We stopped into this place hoping for a decent bite to eat...the waitress ignored us while she gave some other guests German lessons...after some wait we were served schnitzel on a bun...microwaved and soggy..the bread was lovely. This is the sort of thing I would expect after years of service and burnout, but they had a grand opening sign on... More

The Apple Strudel they serve is just delicious. Especially warmed and with ice-cream. The downside is that it is a bit expensive,
