Best dinner in Annapolis Royal

My boyfriend and I came here for a "special" night out in Annapolis Royal. We had such a great time sitting on the outdoor patio, talking and taking in the beautiful views. We ate at this restaurant a few years ago and were not impressed. The service was poor and the food was overpriced. Having avoided it for some time we thought we would give it another try. It was a mistake! We ordered pan fried haddock with roast potatoes! and scallops, also with roast potatoes! We asked if any vegetables were... More

We did not eat to this place. They're right on the water and have a great spot to serve drinks and desserts on hot summer nights but they refuse to serve us dinner past 8pm. It's not that they had no tables, but a choice to refuse service after 8. On principle, we ate everywhere but here during our stay... More

Stopped into this eating establishment in late June or early July for a quick bite. We only wanted chowder but were told by the wait staff (apologetically) that they could not serve us just chowder, we must order the full meal. Very unfortunate considering they were not that busy. Can't comment on the quality of food as we continued down... More

The greeting was not at all welcoming, so not a good start. The view was excellent onto the river but the tables are too close together. We enjoyed our sparkling wine and G&T whilst studying the menu. However, on ordering we choice from the entree options, plus an expensive bottle of wine. The waitress told us the owners rule was... I have reviewed hundreds of places and never encountered this situation. My wife was not hungry and wanted just a chowder while I ate my meal. The waitress told her that she HAD to order a main meal, they wouldn't let her order just an appetizer. Come on guys if someone is not hungry or on a diet let them... More

Earlier this month myself and a group of family members made the unfortunate mistake to enter this excuse for an establishment. Our initial impressions were not unpleasant, we decided to go in and have a look at the menu. Straight away we were greeted by an empty restaurant (save a few couples) and friendly staff who gave us a menu... More

At the recommendations of our innkeeper at the Queen Anne Inn we made a reservation here and enjoyed one of the best meals of a week long trip. The schnitzel was cooked to order by the owner/chef and was delicious. Very good starters and desserts and the price was extremely reasonable. The staff were friendly and professional.

Locals love this place and you have to book it is very interesting menu and generally good food but the steak was overlooked Probably the best restaurant in town and a great location overlooking the harbour, but you have to go in by 7.45 or they will not serve you

This restaurant was recommended by our inn keeper and we gladly went there the day we arrived in Annapolis Royal. The restaurant was not full. We sat outside at a table with an exquisite view. The starters (clam chowder & French onion soup) arrived about 75 minutes after they were ordered and the mains 30 minutes after the starters. The... More
