This restaurant was suggested by our innkeepers and we had a wonderful evening - dinner and ambiance were excellent. We sat on the terrace overlooking the water and had a wonderful dinner - the scallops for my wife and the schnitzel for me. The apple strudel and ice cream made for an excellent ending. Pricing was fair for the quality... More

Sat on the outdoor deck. It was just built when we got there. It was great to sit outside during a rainstorm and still enjoy a great meal and the wonderful view. Food was excellent and so was the service.

Great atmosphere, wonderful service, terrific view and the food-the best french onion soup I have ever had. We had the weiner schnitzel and it was outstanding. We forgot our glasses and the cook was nice enough to wait for us to drive back 90 minutes and retrieve them. Don't miss this place!

This was the best meal of our holiday by a long shot. The food, the service and the location was excellent. We had been looking forward to enjoying all the fresh seafood Nova Scotia and Cape Breton had to offer and had been mildly disappointed till this point. It was exactly what we had been looking for over the previous... More

We asked the owner of the RV park where we were staying for a place to get good scallops. She immediately recommended Restaurant Compose. She said it was her favorite place on earth to eat and particularly recommended the seared scallops, breaded haddock, which ended up being exactly what we ordered. The scallops were great and the haddock was the... More

We had dinner here on a lovely evening so we were able to enjoy the breezes and a beautiful view. Had Digby scallops and roasted potatoes. Absolutely delicious and fresh.

We enjoyed a delicious supper here on our visit to Annapolis Royal, eating supper al fresco on their deck overlooking the water. Our lobster dish was delicious, and the service friendly and attentive. Accompanied by a delicious Nova Scotia wine it was a charming supper

May be the best in the area! so, lower your expectations Yes, it is definitely overpriced with friendly attentive service, unless you get a temporary waitress who has no training, experience, or waiting knowledge. Food items: scallop ( highly recommended). If you do not mind to overpay for this high quality scallop. The haddock fish is really good. The spaetzle... More

The staff was friendly and professional. The food was very good, we both had salads for our lunch. The scallops were very, very good. Overall a very pleasant experience, especially the view. It is a bit more expressive than what we're used to, but that is what vacations are for.

We have eaten here a few times over the years and as time goes by, our disappointment in the lack of lobster in their dishes and the higher prices has us concerned. The food is very good but if you are going to charge $23 for lobster linguine and there is barely any lobster in the dish, something is very... More
