Beer great, Murphys stout a real treat and a change from guiness, but the wierdest thing is they have real English style fish and chips, and as an Expat I know what I am talking about ! real large fillets of fish in great batter (not a small rectangle of something that may once have been fish bought in from... Visited Joes to get a bite to eat when I got to town. It was busy and loud, your typical college town bar. Specials were super reasonable but my portobello mushroom sandwich with side salad instead of fries and a beer was $20. Really? It seemed a little steep for a sandwich and a beer - and a veggie sandwich... More

I love joe's, i go almost weekly, it's a great place with lots of variety on the menu, pasta, tex-mex, pizza, burgers, and delicious appatizers. they are infomous for their "scott Skin's" with good reason. I feel the waitresses are hired based on looks and not skills and knowledge of serving. they tend to "diasapear" for long periods of time,... More

It's bright, it's busy, it provides a good range of dishes - burgers, pizza, pasta, tex-mex, fish and chips, salads, you name it. Good for groups, families, singles - just an honest-to-goodness eating house. Fine dining it ain't, but sometimes you just long for burger and fries.

We had a toddler in our group, whose meal was hummus, and she was served last after all 8 adults... Not a great way of prioritizing. The restaurant is a little run down. Food was generally good.

This was tasty, cheesy meal that is my favorite when I visit the area, The service was a little slow though. Waitress kept disappearing for awhile. Maybe she went to lunch. lol

Get the Scottskins. With cheese and bacon. Do it. Oh yeah, the other menu offerings looked really good as well.

My daughter, granddaughter and I went up to Wolfville so she could register for Acadia for this coming fall. I had eaten at Joe's a few years back and remembered the food was good. It certainly still is good. My daughter had chicken quesidillas, my granddaughter had the potato skins and I had a crunchy chicken breast burger. Everyone was... More

I imagine the feel of this restaurant is very different when all the students are in town at Acadia University. We had a very nice lunch here, huge portions. The bar does not have a drunk student feel, much nicer decor with some great photos/art on the walls. Located on the Main Street in Wolfville it is easy to find... More
