My friend from High School from many years ago and I go to lunch every year now to celebrate our birthdays. Blomidon is kind of central for us. It is a historic building that is an inn and a restaurant. They have some pleasant lunch specials. It is a bit pricier than some other places for lunch, but it has... More

My wife and I ate there during Devour and found the service and food to be outstanding. The place has a lot of character and old world charm, no complaints and I am very critical when it comes to dining!

My wife and I have been regulars here for quite a few years. We're both fairly critical of our meals, but have never had cause for complaint at the Blomidon Inn. Food has always been fantastic (just love the planked salmon!), the ambiance is wonderful, and the staff (e.g. Mike, Alan) are always friendly and knowledgeable. Even though there are... More

This does not compare to restaurants in Halifax but it was very good for the area. The staff is nice and takes good care of you. They menu is not elaborate but they have something for everyone. I ate here twice while staying at the inn. Once I had the cedar plank salmon and once two lobster tails. The salmon... More

Had my birthday party here...age range from 2 to 71. With 13 people we got a private room..the kids could play, the grown ups could chat. The service was great, the food and wine excellent. Best of all we got served and fed, didn't have to do the clean up but felt like we were eating at home. Who could... More

I love historic buildings. The entry and dining room at Blomidon takes you back to a feeling of what it might have been like to be a guest of it's original owner. There is such an attention to detail with the flavours offered in everything they serve---I have been there a NUMBER of time and with friends, so between us... More

It was a reunion event with my friends and it was a great experience. I had some homemade bread and some lamb, it was so yummy.

This place was recommended so we made our reservations. We loved the fact that it had a lovely menu and offered a chef's choice. I chose the chef's choice of scallops with raspberries which came with fresh greens, and a dessert. One can also have a digestive salad after the meal. I thought the meal was presented nicely and the... More
