Gary O'Connor at the Rose and Griffon recommended we try Charlotte Lane for dinner on our Saturday Night in Shelburne and he was dead on the money! Our meals were excellent, the service was friendly and efficient and there was enough variety on the menu to please everyone in our party. The restaurant's craft shop was charming too. You will... The restaurant was very good and charming. I rated it "very good" only because I think it is over hyped in the travel books. That is not the restaurant's fault however. Having now completed our trip in Nova Scotia I would say the food here was excellent but I would not change your itinerary to get here. If you are... More

This place is a 'must go' if you like really, really good food served well in a very comfortable environment. Certainly the best restaurant experience I've had in the Maritimes in 12 years of living here. It's been going for 20 years and reservations are essential - which in itself is a good sign, given the transience of good eateries... More

A small casual dining place a block off of the dock street, easy walk from Cooper's Inn. Reservations are a must as they have small eating area. Very professional wait staff serving excellent food. You must try the English Sticky Toffee Pudding with the Butterscotch sauce - fantastic

Need a reservation here as this place does not have a lot of seating, but that's what makes this place special. Nice and cosy with great service and friendly staff.

If you are going to be in or around Shelburne, NS definitely make a RESERVATION and for for a meal at this restaurant. As soon as we walked in the door and were seated, the service was fabulous. Fresh, fantastic ingredients and a great wine list, made for some great combinations. The gift shop up from is also very nice,... More

Shelburne itself is a little out of the way ( unless you are passing by anyway ) but it is so worth the effort to get there ---especially if you are a history buff like me. The town is much like what old New England towns looked like before population pressure ruined them. Much of the town in fact is... More

I came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon for lunch with my husband after a brewery tour at Boxing Rock and was more than pleased! There was a short wait, less than five mins, and excellent service with servers regularly checking on us to make sure we had what we needed. Between us we shared the mussels, he had eggs... More

Theyreallyhave the market cornered as there are one too many places to eat in this small place. That said the food was very good. Only criticism was the plates were overflowing which lacked style and we asked for our vegetables on the side which meant the dish was presented in a more balanced way. Also we were served a cut...
