Average pub, decent food, tasty locally brewed beer

Friendly staff, quaint restaurant with a spectacular view, decent food (average fish and chips), moderate/typical prices. Delicious locally brewed Boxing Rock beer on tap!

Got a lesson on Maritime meals at the Seadog, and glad I did. The food was excellent, and the staff was top notch, and very friendly, like everyone else in Nova Scotia. Chow I've come to find out, is a garnish that goes on fish dish's like, Fish cakes, and Salt Cod dinner. Salt Cod dinner, I'm just going to... More

Went in here during a visit to beautiful Shelnurne as I wanted to try 'Boxing Rock" beer, which is a local brew. As we didn't want to eat, the barmaid, who was very friendly started telling us the few tables where we were allowed to sit. It was a lovely day so I asked if it was ok to sit... More

Hi Folks, If you are coming to Nova Scotia and you want to drink then don't got to a family restaurant and complain when you are denied an alcoholic beverage without food. These are the laws of Nova Scotia. If you feel really good about yourself you can write a nasty review like Leylan here and have it endorsed by... More

Just visited this spot yesterday while staying in the area to visit family. Everything was fresh and so yummy. We had a hard time deciding on what to eat as everything looked so good. And to end the meal we had a apple crisp...I wish we didn't decide to share because it was so good, so we'll flavored! Kathy was... More

Having enjoyed a drink and excellent entertainment in this beautifully situated harbour tavern I was delighted to hear that they are soon to offer holiday accomodation in the establishment. The views from these bedrooms will be fantastic as we already appreciate from the deck area whilst wining and dining. Can only imagine how wonderful it will be to awaken to the scene... We stopped by on our first day in Shelburne (June 7 2015). My son (9yr) had the fish and chips and he gave it a two thumbs up. My dad and I shared a hamburger and it was delicious. The environment is sea & pirate themed and is right on the water. Kathy, our waitress, was super friendly! She pointed... More

What a shame that the most perfect waterside dining opportunity is wasted. Cluttered although recently redecorated. Only fair quality pub food.

I hate the fact that Tripadvisor allows reviews like this. This restaurant is my livelihood and I advertise affordable family dining which we do very well. When people rate my restaurant with a 5 star attitude and provide a low rating as a result I feel terribly offended. Shelburne is a small little town that supports a family dining restaurant...
