Since my favorite place to get seafood chowder was closed due to renovations, I searched diligently to get my fix. Oliver ' s did not disappoint. It was fabulous and fresh. We all started with the chowder at our business lunch and proceeded to indulge in the fresh grilled hailbut delivered that morning. I will be back to Oliver '... More

The place was almost full when we walked in, and we were extremely lucky to catch the last available table for dinner. The ambience is warm and cosy. The two of us had wine, lobster and a seafood platter. The lobster tasted really fresh and succulent. The scallops were delicious too, though the salmon was slightly overcooked. I'd definitely be... Stopped by Oliver's for brunch. We had the lobster and shrimp Benedict and seafood chowder. Both were delicious and the service was great too! :)

A lovely little restaurant in downtown St. John's. The lunch was fresh Halibut with sweet potato fries- cooked to perfection, from the light seasoning to the proper texture. My daughter enjoyed her mixed shrimp stacked salad as well. Very fresh ingredients. We were served by the new manager Stephen - who was extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend this little... More

My mom and I had the lobster dinner there and I was glad that we called in advance to make reservations and told them to reserve 2 lobsters for us b/c it was the last two the restaurant had that day. The lobsters were just caught that day, and sold out fast. The food is delicious, and the service was... More

The best dining experience in the city! The server was excellent and super knowledgeable about the specials! We ordered the almond goat cheese and beef spring rolls as apps and the tuna as our main and the flavours were amazing! Fine dining with a relaxed atmosphere! Top it off with a scrumptious Irish coffee! This restaurant is a St. John's... More

We've been to St. John's two other times, but this was the first night out for our latest trip. It's always nice to start with a winner, and that's how we feel about Oliver's. It's not a roomy place, and the décor is nothing to write home about, but from your arrival until your departure you know that you have... More

There are a large number of restaurants in St John’s serving excellent meals. We ate at several; what makes Oliver’s unique is the combination of great food, comfortable and quiet surroundings and excellent service. Oliver’s is usually pretty busy so if you plan to go, do make reservations.
