We were referred here and weren't disappointed we didn't have reservations but they made room as most people that came in had. Small not many seats we had halibut caught that morning excellent we don't eat in high end restaurant very often so we find it expensive for 2 with a drink over a 100. But then how often are... More

This is not an inexpensive restaurant but the food and drink selection is excellent, the service great and overall a very good experience. It's right on Water Street, downtown St. John's. I recommend the almond baked goat cheese appetizer and I really enjoyed my seafood fettuccine.

Oliver's restaurant was highly recommended to us by a couple we had met in Gros Morne. They did not lie... Both food & service were excellent, atmosphere was intimate & low key - there's just something about dining in a small restaurant, prices match the quality & quantity of food. I love the fact that the owner is out on... More

The perfect setting for a couple or a small group of friends to share an evening. With a very laid back, low key atmosphere Oliver's will not disappoint on any level. From the welcoming staff, the diverse menu and wonderful wine selection there is very little that Oliver's doesn't deliver on. The food is of the highest caliper, portions are... More

Oliver's is an always reliable choice, and an intimate space for a relaxed meal and chat. They will also go out of their way to accommodate diet needs, like gluten free. It's a nice place to go on a special occasion while avoiding the sticker shock of some other high-end dining places.

I seek out different restaurants wherever I am. No same ole for me. I tried here for lunch when It wasn't too busy. I ordered a lamb dish, something I rarely cook at home. I loved it! The one washroom wasn't the cleanest and overall place could be cleaner from the dust on things.

Spent an evening out with my mom and sister.. Service was superb! We all had seafood appetizers which were amazing, followed by a delicious entree and even had desert! The restaurant is very intimate with great wine choices, and very friendly service! I will be going back, and recommend this place to everyone and anyone :)
