Pre-Blizzard Perfection

Dined here on the way home from work. A blizzard had been forecast, so downtown was very quiet, and the beckoning window of Olivers was there, and open. A quiet Monday evening, with only a large group of 8 people, one couple and myself. The waitress, Michelle, quickly seated me, and brought over... read more

Don't let the size fool you. Tables are tightly put together as the dining room small but the food worth the trip

The service was 5 star. It was my Birthday and the staff made it a very special occasion for me and my Grandaughters. I will be going back. I have told all my friends. The overall menu was excellent. We were a party of five and all had something different and more than enjoyed it all.

We (2 couples) visited Oliver's and had a great dining experience. Our server was professional, friendly and knowledge and added to the enjoyment of our evening. Each of us had a different entrée and there were all excellent. Everything was done perfectly!! The restaurant is compact and neighbouring tables are close but service and food more than offset.

Attended the British Pub Night at Oliver's last night. It consisted of a selection of three small plates with a British theme(Bangers and mash, braised lamb ,shepherd's pie, etc) for $40 per person. It also included a British beer. Over all the food was good but I thought it was not up to the usual Oliver's standard. The shepherd's pie,... More

I was walking home from the gym and was stopped by some people who were here from a turbulent flight from Miami heading to Milan They asked me for a name of a restaurant for lunch. I took them off a quick tour of downtown and thought Oliver's would be a good restaurant It was a great lunch with amazing... More

I found it a very nice place. I was there for a business dinner and enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. The place is quite small, but we were lucky that on that evening it was almost empty. The staff was welcoming and friendly, willing to provide advice both on food and wines. The wine selection was very good, especially... More

I've been here several times and the food is always good. It's cooked to your preference and I love the booths. It's a cozy spot with lovely decor. We always tend to linger, it's just one of those place. The last time we were there the chef left before we did and the staff accommodated us well!

Oliver's is not large and tables are pretty close together so you can't help getting into a discussion with the next table and comparing food.It is not noisy though and the atmosphere is cozy rather than crowded. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Menu has a good range of meat and fish dishes as well as vegetarian. My cod was... More

I enjoyed the food in a recent visit to Oliver's. However, while the service wasn't exceptionally bad - it seemed ... uninterested. In saying that I mean the server we had didn't seem to care much that we were there. There was no hello, no small talk, nothing along the lines of what you would expect in what I would... More
