Visiting St. John's on vacation, my boyfriend and I decided to come down to Shamrock on recommendation of a friend. We loved the duo performing on stage and felt the atmosphere was very friendly. Our server was lovely, all smiles and even apologetic for the long wait to order (hadn't really noticed since we were enjoying the music and the... More

Chose the Shamrock due to a recommendation received during the boat tour of the sound. Service was a little slow and could have been more friendly, and soup, salad, and crab legs all arrived together rather than spaced a few minutes apart. I presented a coupon for a discount from the boat tour, but when the bill came no discount... More

Visited for lunch after boat tour. Fun atmosphere, with good food, for a reasonable price. Friendly wait staff as well. Live music every night (we didn't go in, but could hear it one evening from the street- seemed really fun).

Always great staff, good music, if at times too loud, and great food with good value. My favourite pub for lunch and a pint. They share the kitchen with Jungle Jims, which is attached at the back and has a patio.

We ended up eating here because when we went on the Iceberg Quest tour we were given tickets for the Shamrock for free food, a starter. We took advantage of the offer and enjoyed a great meal on top of that. All seafood is what we concentrated on.

After Iceberg Quest, went to Shamrock for a 'warm up' snack and drinks - not beer drinkers so didn't use free coupon received at Iceberg Quest - had Irish coffee as well as regular one for husband along with Chicken-topped Nachos. Excellent and great atmosphere as well as service.

We had a meal here after an Iceberg Quest Boat Tour and were well warmed up by the good, reasonably priced food and atmosphere. We had Chowder and the Cod Tongue dinner. Kierstyn, the server was efficient and friendly, and happily served us the "two for one" beers on the vouchers we got from Iceberg Quest. The recorded music was... More

I try to make it a habit to go to Shamrock City at least once a month. The Wings and fries are great but the best is the live entertainment...my favorite is Derek Harrington as well as Ron Kelly, of course it wouldn't be a great night without Darcy Broderick!!!

Have been here many times for the night bands and it's great. The bands are awesome and it's always a lively place to be. Decided to try the brunch today, the service wasn't good, very slow and we were the only people in there. The hashbrowns were cut up fries that were hard as a rock and the rest was... More

I rarely saw this place NOT at full capacity. A definite hotspot for its music and food. Many nights there are people wall to wall. A fun venue that you will enjoy.
