Thanksgiving brunch at the Tait House

This year my mother decided that we should all go to the Tait House in Shediac for Thanksgiving brunch. At first I was a bit skeptical because it's a bit pricey ($30 for buffet) and I was hesitant to bring the kids to such an upscale restaurant. But once we arrived (our party of 9 with one baby, a... read more

My wife and I went here for our anniversary in 2012. The room (I don't remember the name or its number) was amazing. Very quiet place. Staff had also left a little extra in it, knowing it was our anniversary. Our meal in the evening was really good, worth every penny. The buffet the next morning was great, one of... More

I ate here with my husband and friends to celebrate an anniversary. We were provided excellent service! The salad was amazing... The main course of salmon was good ... And the dessert of creme brûlée was good. The atmosphere was wonderful! Over all, it was a very nice evening, but I expected a little better from the food for the... More

Rooms are perfect, clean, warm enogh and calm to sleep. Breakfast was not really European or Turkish. But Mme. Susan had changed it for us and we had very nice breakfast there. I mostly like their buffet and coffee.

This is one of the place I would recommend to stop in have a Very nice meal. Yes it will cost a few dollars but like I said it's a splurge night. Centrally located in the heart of Shediac and close to everything. They have lodging and can catter to weddings.

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a week earlier to avoid the crowds and wanted to try somewhere we had never been. I had heard great reviews about the atmosphere and service at Maison Tait and was excited to try it out! We we're seated in a private little room that was beautiful and we decided to order the fondue... More

The ambiance and the decorations were great, cocktail at 6:45, we sat down at seven for a 7 course meal accompanied by a glass of wine with every course to compliment the serving. Great live dinner music.till eleven when we were served our last serving accompanied with a glass of port. Then we celebrated the new year with a disc... More

We went for a lunch buffet. I purposely chose to get my starters first in order to have a hot meal for a main course. No difference - by the time I was ready to enjoy my main course - the staff had left the buffet unattended and the food was cold. Sorry. Tried it once - probably make a... More

The sign out front says open Sunday 11:00 to 2:00. I showed up at 1:27 PM. Promptly greeted, seated, and coffee. So far I'm liking the experience. Nice old character house, well maintained. Brunch was the only option so off we went. Several of the hot food containers were empty, missing, or had left overs that could not be identified.... More

Delicious, imaginative menu! We were delighted to get a recommendation for Tait House from an interpreter at Hopewell Rocks because we wanted a "foodie" night, and were well-pleased. Prices aren't cheap, but I think, based on portion size, taste, creativity, and fresh local ingredients, they are very appropriate. Lovely wine-by-the-glass menu, too, and very reasonably priced! Our recommends from our... More
