Great location by the bay and good food

A nice 20 minute drive from downtown Moncton takes you to the ocean in Shediac. Get a table by the window with a view of the bay. Started with the seafood chowder. Generous amount of fish in a tasty creamy broth. Had the rack of lamb, asked for medium but came closer to medium well. Nicely... read more

We stayed at the Tait House/Maison during our stay in Shediac, and dined here on two evenings on a variety of optons. The menu is on the small side, but offers a really nice variety, and changes from time to time (although not in our 4-night sty.) Mains included rack of lamb, two types of fish, a very good seafood... More

This year my mother decided that we should all go to the Tait House in Shediac for Thanksgiving brunch. At first I was a bit skeptical because it's a bit pricey ($30 for buffet) and I was hesitant to bring the kids to such an upscale restaurant. But once we arrived (our party of 9 with one baby, a toddler... More

My wife and I went here for our anniversary in 2012. The room (I don't remember the name or its number) was amazing. Very quiet place. Staff had also left a little extra in it, knowing it was our anniversary. Our meal in the evening was really good, worth every penny. The buffet the next morning was great, one of... More

I ate here with my husband and friends to celebrate an anniversary. We were provided excellent service! The salad was amazing... The main course of salmon was good ... And the dessert of creme brûlée was good. The atmosphere was wonderful! Over all, it was a very nice evening, but I expected a little better from the food for the... More

Rooms are perfect, clean, warm enogh and calm to sleep. Breakfast was not really European or Turkish. But Mme. Susan had changed it for us and we had very nice breakfast there. I mostly like their buffet and coffee.

This is one of the place I would recommend to stop in have a Very nice meal. Yes it will cost a few dollars but like I said it's a splurge night. Centrally located in the heart of Shediac and close to everything. They have lodging and can catter to weddings.

We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a week earlier to avoid the crowds and wanted to try somewhere we had never been. I had heard great reviews about the atmosphere and service at Maison Tait and was excited to try it out! We we're seated in a private little room that was beautiful and we decided to order the fondue... More
