Stopped at the Java Moose after finding it on Trip Advisor. They make a mean, mean brownie, and some good espresso to boot. Not only that, but we were given some good travel tips by the barista. Also - we got a free drink when we purchased a pound of coffee beans to take home!! They also had some breakfast... More

We certainly appreciated your visit to our Prince William Street Coffeehouse. A JavaMoose Cappuccino is a really great way to start your adventure to Cape Breton. I am so glad you indulged. If I remember correctly, you picked up a pound of our Foghorn Dark Roast. I certainly hope you enjoy the flavour and it helps you navigate the Cabot... More

I really wanted to give Java Moose 4 stars but I can't. I don't like certain sauces so I was sad when I ordered a sandwich but was told they are prepared ahead of time so I couldn't get the sauce omitted. The coffee is good and I like the smoothies but it is no longer a lunch option for... More

We really appreciate your comments about the sandwiches, smoothies and coffee beverages. We decided several years ago to switch to pre-made sandwiches. We of course roast our turkey, ham and roast beef at our Rothesay location. Several stores, because of volume, receive fresh sandwiches from that store every morning. Prince William Street makes their sandwiches every morning using set recipes.... More

I had one of their flavoured coffees and it was awesome. I was really impressed by all of their different options, too. If I lived in the area I would grab coffee here all the time.

Our great team of baristas really appreciates your comments. More importantly, Stephen & Jeff (the guys that roast our coffee) are ecstatic with your review. They work really hard roasting, blending and flavouring our beans at World Headquarters on the East side of Saint John. They truly take pride in our coffees. We look forward to your return to Saint... More

Nice coffee shop serving espresso and pour-over coffee etc. Beans roasted locally. Unfortunately they run a totally over-roasted bean through their espresso machine. Flavour is burned and ashy. They have a lighter roast for espresso but did not offer that one until too late. AVOID the dark/black espresso.

Many thanks for your review. It's always great to get both positive and not so positive reviews of our products. It truly keeps us agile and on our toes. As you noticed, we roast one of our espresso blends extremely dark. In fact we roast our that espresso blend to 450degrees F. We have been roasting our espresso this way... More

If I have to meet someone for business I always suggest Java Moose - either the Prince William mother store or my favourite - the Valley store. Comfy chairs, nice atmosphere and the best coffee anywhere.

We certainly see a wide spectrum of people visiting our stores. Glad to hear, that as a businessman, you find the atmosphere easy to conduct your affairs. I am certainly proud that the Moms, Students, Executives, IT peeps are able to mix and mingle in comfort over a cup of our coffee or enjoy a great lunch. Proud to provide... More

I used to be a diehard Starbucks fan but I would now take Java Moose over Starbucks any day! The fact that it is a local business makes it that much better. Great job, JM!

I always enjoy swinging by Java Moose in downtown Saint John, whether it is to catch up on email (free wifi) or for a great vanilla latte ... the owners and staff really care about their business and it shows in the quality of their products and service. I don't usually eat here so much as have coffee but when... More

People from elsewhere in the world find coffee in Canada awful, and I would have to agree. The standard set by the major chains is pretty bad. Java Moose, on the other hand, have a selection of brews and artisanal blends of coffee they roast themselves. I love the fact it is a New Brunswick product and is so superior... More

I regularly stop in to the Valley Java Moose and enjoy not only their coffee and sandwiches, but the terrific customer service. The "hosts" never fail to be friendly and accommodating. They really seem to enjoy their jobs. Sometimes the lines do get a bit long, but it certainly is a great respite from their coffee neighbour up the road.... More

I am so happy you enjoy your time with us at our Valley location. Indeed, the line sometimes does get a little long. Our baristas are well aware of the lines and do work extremely hard & professionally to make it move as fast as possible. To make the perfect latte, mocha and capp sometimes takes a minute or two.... Wow! Shianne and Samantha are amazing. We are so glad to have them with us. The Valley location is a continual work in progress. Some hits. Some misses. As you know, we are the small local company brewing our very best coffees and providing a great atmosphere to sit, relax and enjoy friends. It's FUN! and the coffee is freshly... More
