This sushi restaurant was quiet and cozy. The people working there were very accommodating and offered great customer service. The food was fairly priced and absolutely fresh and delicious!

I couldn't believe that you can have great sushi like that! Good and friendly service, also they asked if we like our food spicy..If you like spicy food prepare yourself because my mouth was on fire but I would totally recommend this restaurant. Average price...for sushi.More
Three of us were longing for Asian food after a week on the road in the Maritimes. We had lots of fresh fish etc but never a sit-down formal dinner as opposed to takeout. We had no idea how generous the portions would be and...we ordered tempura and sushi to our hearts content. And noodles, lovely fat udon in a delicious broth. Just a perfectly satisfying meal served with good humour and friendliness. We highly recommend this casual place.More
A great spot to have a quiet lunch and enjoy the fantastic food. The bibimbap is the best in Saint John!
Unagi had a bitter taste. Salmon had a tiny area that looked cooked by accident, average freshness and texture. Rolls were not that special. Even miso soup didn't taste great and it's hard to do that wrong. I wouldn't come back.
So my friend and I were craving sushi and decided to stop by the closest sushi place. The server got us to the table quickly but took forever to take our order even though the restaurant was not busy. Once ordering a few rolls, sashimi...and a bowl of udon, we sat and waited. They did not serve us one dish at a time but instead decided to put our whole order on one plate which I felt was strange. None of the rolls looked appetizing. Three of the four we ordered had the same yellow sauce drowning the rolls. The deep fried rolls had a battering that was chewy and the flavor of cardboard. I also ordered the lobster roll. It was as if there was no lobster on the roll. I could not see or taste where the lobster was because the flavor of the yellow sauce was overpowering. All the rolls with the sauce had almost the same flavor. One roll had a piece of fried chicken on top that just seemed weird to me. The tempura was just as bad. They were greasy and not even hot. This came with the udon and although the udon was not bad it was not exciting. It was just soup and noodle. I had also order the "chef's choice of sashimi." This was a HUGE mistake. Some of the selection was O.K. but I noticed something strange on the plate. There was 3 pieces of HAM. The chef had chosen to give us ham as one of the 7 choices. I do not know any Japanese restaurant that serves ham as "Sashimi." I feel like this is scamming their customers in a bad way.Ordering the chef's choice at many Japanese restaurants is a great way to surprise yourself but here it was disappointing. Although I was not happy the other customers in the restaurant seemed quite happy with what they were served. The chef even talked to some of the regular customers after there were no more orders. I do not at all recommend this restaurant especially in an area that has many great restaurants that are just a few blocks away.More
Not a fan of Sushi but this place is slowly exposing me to the different Japanese and Korean foods. This was my second visit and I am liking it. Tried the French Kiss Roll.. very nice.. so much flavour. To be on the safe side,...I ordered the Chicken Fried Noodles with Sapporo beer. For Vegans, just ask the chef to prepare something vegan and they will surprise you with some tantalizing tastes.More
Sushi was fresh and abundant. Miso and house salad came with each dinner, the tempura was crispy and light. We will be back next time we are in Saint John!
The food was good, but the restaurant was somewhat rundown inside. In addition, you must pass right by the food prep area in order to get to the restrooms. Service was OK, nothing special. I think it was a family running the restaurant, so I'm...surprised that they didn't have more enthusiasm.More
We were only in St. John for a night and it was really warm, so we wanted something colder and lighter for dinner. We took a chance on Ta-Ke Sushi based on reviews we read and were not disappointed. It was a great meal -...good tempura, good nigiri, good maki. Service was fast and the owner was friendly and talked to us several times. The rice was a little starchier than I am used to, but it certainly didn't get in the way of the wonderful fish and I chalked it up to geographical difference.More
Good place to eat, sushi was pretty good. Great choices on the menu. Owners were really nice and talked to the patrons. Would definitely stop by and eat again.
Went for lunch with a girlfriend and we were both very impressed! Fresh tasting sashimi, great variety of rolls and friendly service!
My friend and I had the California roll lunch special and tempura. It was fresh, delicious and so filling! All this food and I only paid $15! I ate off the food all day.
Had their lunch deal for less then $10 - small half bowl of miso soup [could have made it a full bowl] , a tray with 4 Maki and 8 piece California roll, small amount of fried grass noodles. Perfect for lunch!!
I love getting take out here and then enjoying it at home. I like the atmosphere in the restaurant too but there's no place like home. Especially if I don't have to cool. The sushi is fresh and yummy.
